Just posted to say there’s a fundraiser for a children’s charity that has been set up on just giving to mark Prince Louis’ birthday.
I added a link but not sure if that’s allowed but MN have hidden it for now because of the link.

If they brought a sense of humour to it, it could be a great concept - Lemonada curd, Lemonada squash, Lemonada soda, and if she's a MNetter, Lemonada drizzle cake Grin

Bitter Lemonada? Grin

That happened to me the other day with the ARO just giving link, but MNHQ let it through, so hopefully you’ll be ok 😊

MummyJ12 · 23/04/2024 12:07

Thanks @smilesy 😊

LadyWhineglass · 23/04/2024 12:34

And now there is a photo!

LadyWhineglass · 23/04/2024 11:09

My bad. It’s today. And officially there is no new photo after the pile on with the Mothers Day photo.

There's a photo of Louis on their instagram. Posted about 20 minutes ago.

LadyWhineglass · 23/04/2024 12:59

Yes.

LadyWhineglass · 23/04/2024 13:00

Louis sur l’herbe.

And now there is a photo!

Wonder if there will be anything from ARO today to try and upstage this 🤔

AliceOlive · 23/04/2024 13:12

Many donating to the Trussell Trust today and wishing Louis a Happy Birthday in the comments. It’s close to a totally fenonious £23K now.

The SS should remember that people can be charged for wasting police time.

Very odd that they reported this to the police in the US. Would love to hear the perspective of the officer that took this report.

@shenandoahvalleybeautifully described Meghan's marry for money plan and how it fits into her perfect little Californian world.

The thing is, it is a 'little world', isn't it. How many people are in it, and how many want anything to do with her and her jam? What has she got to offer, either professionally or personally? Now she's got her mansion and her millions, where does she go from there? I

(And Happy Birthday Prince Louis. Nice to see the pic, but I wouldn't have blamed Catherine if she'd decided against it.)

BemusedAmerican · 23/04/2024 13:32

They had to define "fenony" first.😁

BemusedAmerican · 23/04/2024 13:34

@Abouttimeforanamechange I would suggest an online business degree from a reputable school so that she knows how to create a business plan, plan finances, etc. Neither she nor Harry understand money management.

AliceOlive · 23/04/2024 13:40

I was just scrolling through IG and so many of the accounts following ARO are only following ARO and nothing else or else just a few other accounts. Many with no profile photo and zero posts.

IcedPurple · 23/04/2024 13:40

I don't think there will be another podcast, for the simple reason that unless she's complaining about her 'treatment', Meghan really has nothing to say. She probably thought of podcasting as an easy way to make money, but she messed up her lucrative deal with Spotify, and there won't be big money with Lemonada. Also, podcasting is highly competitive and you really have to work hard and fill a niche if you're going to be successful. Working hard doesn't really seem to be her thing.

She couldn’t get into that world before Harry. Now she has used him as her entree, seems she’s realizing that the work and/or talent and/or machinations required to succeed and remain in that world are beyond her. As I had to tell my DD yesterday (about something else entirely!), if you have something that’s worth having, people will try to take it away from you. Whether it’s the tax man (which is fair and proper, of course), or your frenemy or a random on the street. People who have worked hard or struggled or hustled for what they have are going to be keeping a hawklike watchful eye out for anyone seeking to piggyback off their work and success for free. If they allow you to do so, it’s because there will be something bigger in it for them.

Hence why Archewell only “gives” small amounts, and very strategically. They need to spend their money curating their image and buying publicity carefully. There’s not much in those coffers, in the Hollywood scheme of things. It’s partly why Meghan has to constantly be front and center: Harry was her hustle, goddam it. Nobody else is entitled to her limelight. And hence why Meghan can’t get any real purchase - nobody wants her helping herself to a piece of what they have, and it would appear she has little to offer.

The Spotify exec said it out loud: they’re grifters. Harry’s podcast pitch was that he sit on a couch with people like Trump and Putin and Musk and talk to them about their shared childhood trauma. Of course, his pitch required Spotify high-ups to get these people onto that couch (as if they could), and that was the point. Harry wanted to make money out of doing nothing but co-commiserate into a microphone on a sofa with other people who he thought would also like to whine about their childhoods, while someone else did the work of pulling strings and pumping connections (which didn’t even exist) to get the guests there, structure the podcast, give him the talking points, edit and post-produce it. Why would anyone do that?

This is why it’s come down to jam on Instagram for Meghan (basically what she knew to do before Harry) and polo for Harry (again, all he can do). They’ve already sold everything else they have. Apart from the children: and I am 100% willing to believe that not even these two would put them up for sale. My cynicism doesn’t extend that far, I willingly believe they’re protecting those children from the public for all the best reasons.

AliceOlive · 23/04/2024 14:30

I have endless of empathy for a woman with loads of ideas and terrible follow through.

It may well be that Meghan is suffering from ADD as many women do, particularly in our 40s. It certainly looks like it from the outside.

With an added touch of the need for control, therefore not great at delegating or taking professional advice. Which I think is also common. You can see this with the jam rollouts. No PR agency would suggest Abigail Spencer rolling around in the grass as part of a promotion.

Spot on, though I think it’s only a matter of time before they start commercialising their children too.

Thedom · 23/04/2024 15:45

This ...... She couldn’t get into that world before Harry.

I have always thought that was one of her main motivations for moving away from the RF, they had Oprah and every top dog in the US, begging for an interview, throwing opportunities at them, and she 'wasn't allowed' to do it.

In Meghan's pre Harry life, the very thought of being anywhere near Oprah's orbit would have meant she was where she wanted to be. I think her frustration with living in the UK, was as much with being forced to miss all the A list opportunities that were coming her and Harry's way. I get the feeling Harry was like an excited puppy, chasing his tail, with no clear direction and having lost sight of where he was headed.

The media focused life Meghan wants and is actively hunting, is a complete contradiction to the life Harry claimed he wanted but couldn't have because of being in the RF.

Plenty of people have ADD, and other conditions and don't treat people badly. It's really not an excuse.

I thought they had purchased ‘Lilibet’s Closet’ domain? I’m sure I read that somewhere.
