Breaking news.

OP posts:
PleaseletitbeSpring · 22/03/2024 18:22

It's truly awful news. So young and with primary school age children. Perhaps it would have been better to have announced it once it was diagnosed. It would have prevented so much speculation and gossip.

Why do people say this! Does it matter? My mum has had cancer twice and luckily had fairly swift treatment.
It’s not her choice to have cancer, but she’s got it and is receiving treatment! Enough is enough! The woman has had a whole lot of speculation about her life and criticisms for weeks without a backhander criticism like this.

Cheesehound · 22/03/2024 18:22

So sorry that she is going through this. Cancer is a dreadful disease. Hope all and sundry can shut up now.

TinkerbellsAssistant · 22/03/2024 18:22

@Doseofreality You are really doing yourself no favours on your thread.

If you are worried about treatment, take out private health cover and if you're unlucky enough to get cancer, you can get 'Royal' treatment too.

Or better still, just be quiet.

I am sure you meant well but comments like this fuel conspiracy theories. She may well be very poorly but she has disclosed what she wants to and speculation is just unnecessary. It's bad enough she was put in a position to declare this to the world she now doesn't need people debating how bad it is and how long she has left

I think it’s likely that she wanted to keep it private like Charles until a treatment plan was in place, but given it’s chemo, I’m thinking it’s probably had to come out.

Iwasafool · 22/03/2024 18:23

eise · 22/03/2024 18:21

This is true. I wonder why she didn't go via the NHS for her chemo.

Probably because she knew there would be some bitches moaning about her taking up a place from someone who couldn't pay. She can't win can she.

Linlithgow · 22/03/2024 18:23

Hopefully now all you fruit loops back off and leave the poor women to be with her family

grinandslothit · 22/03/2024 18:24

SerenityNowInsanityLater · 22/03/2024 18:19

We’re fucking awful, humans. Our collective narcissism has peaked. We’ve jumped the shark.

She was utterly dehumanised, mocked, and bullied throughout what is the lowest time of her life.
Honestly, bless her in abundance. I really hope she makes a full recovery.

There is something especially vile when women do it to other women.

I hope those who have participated in this cruelty, have a word with themselves and never do it to another woman again.

SerenityNowInsanityLater · 22/03/2024 18:24

OP. oh my god, don’t you get it? NHS vs royal treatment. Really? We’re going to play that shitty little game? Any cancer of the abdominal region has the capacity to spread because it’s a region full of places to go to. And you’re having a moan about her royal treatment?? Cancer does not discriminate. Guess how many fucks it gives, especially once it lands in the abdominal area?

StillCreatingAName · 22/03/2024 18:24

Please stop these threads now.
Appalling that she’s been forced to make such a deeply personal statement.

Respect her fucking privacy.

RicePuddingWithCinnamon · 22/03/2024 18:24

charliefair · 22/03/2024 18:11

She’s at an advantage over anyone in a similar position having NHS treatment.

Yeah that royal cancer is so special Hmm

I hope she recovers well.
I just wish that everyone with cancer had the same excellent treatment she will have.
Unfortunately our NHS is at breaking point so they won’t. I think that’s what the previous poster means.

Scottishshortbread11877 · 22/03/2024 18:24

I agree @ToasterChic - that user is not someone who works in cancer care. I can tell a mile off. If you work in oncology you know that there are far too many factors at play for any sort of colloquial assumptions.

For fucks sake can she have at least a few days to process the news herself and to her children before facing the world with it? The demands people make on her is unbelievable.

Kaftanesque · 22/03/2024 18:25

Is it an advantage to have the media and thousands of people speculating and gossiping incessantly whilst you try to recover from major surgery and process a cancer diagnosis? I don't think so.Horrible comment. She is a mum to young children .A bit of compassion wouldn't go amiss.I hope she can now be left in peace.

coffeeandcake91 · 22/03/2024 18:25

Horrible that she was basically forced to share this news with the world!

Now can everyone shut up and let this family deal with this. Wishing her a quick recovery and best of health!

EarringsandLipstick · 22/03/2024 18:25

Blogswife · 22/03/2024 18:04

Let’s hope that shuts everyone up . How awful that the media and hysterical public have driven her to have to issue this statement at such a difficult time. Poor girl .

👏👏

The hounding has been a disgrace. I'm Irish with limited interest in royal matters but the slavering by so many about what might be happening is beyond belief.

It was clear a significant health or personal issue was underway.

Absolutely the last few weeks have been disgusting to watch
Hopefully that's the end of it
Poor buggers

JSMill · 22/03/2024 18:25

Could people just leave her alone now.

BellaVita · 22/03/2024 18:26

My DS1 has a GMB4 and the NHS have been wonderful, cannot fault them at all.

StillCreatingAName · 22/03/2024 18:26

Oh name calling for stating a fact , what a lovely individual you are.

Go away and hang your head in shame!!

bluefrog11 · 22/03/2024 18:21

@ToasterChic I’m just being realistic, sorry! Most people who work in the health sector are. Stats for different cancers are freely available online. Patients are always given a realistic prognosis. She’ll get the best possible care and she’s a healthy young woman so hopefully she’ll be okay.

Most people who work in health care know not to allude to any sort of diagnosis or prognosis without analysis of diagnostics tests.

I'm not even a Royal but I think this thread should be shut down. The op hasn't got good intentions.
