Breaking news.

I wonder if they’re not quite as cynical and quote-for-clickbait as some of you are saying, nor as innocent and wrong-done-by as they and their squad say, but somewhere in-between?

I personally think that at this point, they’re just so used to announcing and press-releasing and Speaking Their Truth™️ that it genuinely doesn’t occur that they could simply privately contact William and Kate. Harry has spent his whole life in this weird bubble and codependent relationship with the press, his post-royal career is about seeking press, the Megxit bombshell was an announcement – they didn’t just take off – they’re hugely reliant on being public figures. Like I think it’s as natural as breathing at this point: they don’t exist to themselves unless they broadcast it. Which is a little sad.

The public statement was just a reminder that he can want to draw a line all he wants, if you slag people off in a global manner you don’t get to choose the other sides timeline. If something like two cancer diagnoses can’t influence any reconciliation a relationship of any meaning in dead in the water. Why worry about the public reaction of not issuing a statement when you’ve made it clear you don’t consider the relationship important enough to keep it private. The statement was for Harry’s PR not for Kate’s benefit.

💯

Sweet jesus, is there going to be a Harry Book 2? Please, no....

I've got a horrible feeling he's under contract to write 3 volumes but that was hopefully just a fever dream 🥵

He did say he had enough material fir a second volume but if he wants any sort of way back into the RF , he needs to shelve that plan .
Oniy thing worse would be Meghan’s memoirs .

My eyes!!!

But if he wants any sort of way back into the RF , he needs to shelve that plan.

I don't know why people keep saying this, they don't. There is no going back to the firm and he knows it. Why would he? No side wants that.

Ooh, are you mates with all parties? What have they said? What’s the skinny? The inside scoop?

There the royal family on a working basis and the royal family on a personal basis and Harry made it perfectly clear they he want the personal basis. He wants that

Runnerinthenight · 27/03/2024 15:03

Well if he wants a personal relationship, he's going a pretty damn odd way about it!! Who wants a personal relationship with someone who's prepared to slag you off in public for dollah!?

OneHeartySnail · 27/03/2024 16:12

He wants a personal relationship, but claims that their personal relationships are inferior to his, because they have chosen 'suitable' spouses but he has married the 'live of his life'?

Exactly! I just don’t understand his thought process at all.

Vespanest · 27/03/2024 18:43

But surely for PR, financial, and personal reasons any reconciliation would be good for Harry and Meghan, it would be a kick in the teeth for some of their supporters who dislike the Royals but anyone who supports them should stay and hopefully they would gain new followers. Harry and Meghan keep getting financial hit by happening in the royal family that is out of their control. They’ve had to deal with COVID (not royal) Grandparents dying, Charles Illness and now Kate’s. This was meant to be Meghans new era, probably a fortune spent on PR and it’s been overshadowed, and reignited the online feuds. Its incorrect to think they’ve escaped the royal family, that are actually trapped, what happens in the royal family impacts Harry in everything he does.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 27/03/2024 18:48

It doesn’t matter if it’s good for Harry and Meghan, what’s good for them is irrelevant, if William wants nothing to do with his brother ever again there is bugger all Harry can do about it.
