I live in SE and havent worn a coat. I wore a coat in the cold snap that lasted 4 days and that’s it. It’s been extremely mild here.

So on a typical day in Windsor last December, not one person would have been wearing gloves, a scarf or a hat? Or even a warm coat?

Does Windsor have its very own microclimate?

Can I confirm that you are suggesting that this photo was taken last December?

Whose parenting was so admirable.

Because there is no middle ground between going on foreign tours leaving your young children at home, or working late into the evening, and working a few hours a week.

How do you know he doesn’t work late into the evening? Astonishing how familiar people are with William’s life. Maybe you are right and he spends his day watching This Morning and playing golf. I really have no idea but suspect you don’t either!

MyopicBunny · 19/03/2024 18:04

Work late into the evening doing what? It's obvious that some of the royals work much harder than others. People expect to see more from the prince of wales. And rightly so. Princess Anne works nearly every day.

Thank you hun, I am known in these quarters for being the very beckon of love and good vibes only 🫡

It's neither of them, they probably paid them people to go there, Just so they could stir up trouble.

Misthios · 19/03/2024 18:16

Fuck me. Just when you thought people couldn't get any more batshit, they are convinced that it's not been cold enough to wear coats/hats/scarves in Berkshire all winter.

There's really no hope for some people.

What?! I live in Berkshire and have been wearing a pretty similar coat to Kate's for the last month or so, combined with a bobble hat some days.

Quizine · 19/03/2024 18:21

I've enjoyed this thread immensely. I don't think they have huge respect for us peasants subjects, so I don't intend to defend them for their shenanigans with bailing out of a memorial service, deadheading and reheading photos, using stand ins to try and fool us and so on (that is sarcasm, who knows what they are up to!). Anyway Kate (if it is she) looks very well and not a mark of illness in her glowing face. Good oh, I'm happy for her.

Now since Easter is approaching, the time is coming for the big reveal. I have a feeling that if she is not in the mood for dressing up then there will be a "bit of a relapse" and she will need to rest until the Autumn on doctor's orders. Hopefully not, but I wouldn't be one bit surprised.

Posting on MN? Loads of complaining and explaining here. Maybe the adage was never true.

I can’t believe anyone thinks that is them, it’s just a slim, dark haired woman who is about 15 years younger than the PoW. The man bears a slight resemblance to William but it’s hard to tell with the hat on, the walk is all wrong for both of them.

Well this what I think. Somehow it’s so deeply offensive to even ask the question.

am finding it quite terrifying that news outlets are running with it as if it were them. To me it’s completely obvious it isn’t. I really hope Kate is getting better somewhere and turns up next weekend. It’s a PR disaster in my view, and that’s where the responsibility lies.

Plenty of videos on Tiktok now of people going to Windsor Farm Shop - and the huts and lights are clearly visible. (They're not Christmas light btw, just lights).

Here's just 1 example.

Will you admit you were wrong and this video was taken at the weekend as the metadata shows?

I think I'm inclined to agree with some of this.

After a period of intense speculation, and the dodgy photo, Kate pops up looking years younger, and - many people believe - quite different.

I think anyone saying "erm..hang on a sec, isn't this a bit odd?" isn't necessarily a tinfoiled-headed nutter. They're possibly just an average person finding the situation a bit... unusual.

I mean, thank goodness for grainy mobile phone footage, because otherwise, it would just be one single person recognising the future king and queen in a farm shop during a period of heightened speculation, while no one else batted an eyelid or reached for a camera.

InWalksBarberalla · 19/03/2024 21:42

I think it is most likely them - tend to think that The Sun would have gotten informal confirmation before forking out 200k for the video. I'm not sure how anyone can be 'it's definitely them' or 'it's definitely not them' based on the video quality though.

Quizine · 19/03/2024 21:48

Just to say - I doubt £200k is a worry for the Sun newspaper to pay out, at all!

Anyway, get the magnifiers out as there will be much comparison between Farm Shop Kate and Easter Kate I'd say. Unless they are both fakes OMG.

Yeah, totally normal. Nothing at all bonkers about supposing the royals have kidnapped or done away with Kate and have set up an elaborate body-double hoax to hoodwink us all. And that the newspapers and the BBC are in cahoots with these shadowy forces. I can’t think of anything more routine and everyday than that.

Just to be clear, I don’t think it’s a body double, I think it’s just a couple with a passing resemblance that someone with poor eyesight has sent to the Sun, and they’ve published for the click bait.

I couldn’t care less what she’s up to, I expect they’re following the royal “never complain, never explain” rule.
