@FloreatEtona totally agree, going through serious surgery as a completely private person is bad enough (and I doubt mine was as serious as hers was) - I cannot imagine what my mental state would have been like if the entire world was speculating about what I looked like, the state of my marriage, that I should have gone back to work already.

People forget she is a human being. It really is like Diana all over again, she is being hounded and hounded for 'sport'

Have you ever had to convalesce from something? Or had an illness? There are good and bad days during this time. One day you feel you can get up and whizz round. The next day you can’t. Wouldn’t be a good look of you’ve committed to say, a troop Inspection too soon and you couldn’t actually do it. Something like that involves a lot of standing. So you are judging something from afar that you have no real idea about. And as pp have said, she is doing this on medical advice. Medical advice would be to build up stamina. Not sit still and never move

Well of course they wanted to be seen, I doubt they genuinely wanted to go to the farm shop, they probably don't even cook for themselves let alone shop for themselves.

Anyway Kate does look really different. I think she should permanently wear leggings and trainers and ditch the updos, big blow drys and heavy makeup. She looks twenty years younger.

I had minor surgery but under GA when a young woman and I'm sure that was reported among local gossips as a termination. The op was to my nose and I wasn't pregnant. I didn't actually hear any of it but knew what they were like.

Abdominal surgery could be anything. It could be a kidney transplant or appendectomy or the removal of an ovary or ...
none of which I'd want to be discussed by any other than those close to me.

She can't win. If she didn't do the 'pap stroll' to Windsor Farm shop, the conspiracies of her being in a coma, dead, ran off would continue to escalate. If she did the pap stroll looking glum: evidence of divorce. If she did it hunched over and limping: deaths door/has been assaulted by her husband. She chooses to do it smiling and looking as healthy as possible - so now she is accused of faking it and she should be back at work.

@FloreatEtona awful experience for you. These are such personal and private matters yet people expect because she is a working royal they should have access to her medical notes.

No one walks around with a big grin on their face unless they're expecting to be seen or photographed. That outing was very intentional.

I don’t think in their wildest dreams rhey could have foreseen the absolute hysteria some folks have reacted with due to a photoshopped image, or that video of them at a farm shop,would have those same folks claiming it was a body double.

its absolutely mind boggling how far some people have taken it.

Surely if the photo is of some random woman who just happens to look like Kate, walking with a man who just happens to look like William, close to where Kate and William happen to live, then said random woman would have made herself known by now?

Or are some people suggesting this is some 'fake Kate' conspiracy orchestrated by 'them'?

I'm from a small community so if you crossed the street, someone would see you and mention it to someone else. 'I saw Flor the other day. She was crossing the road going to the Waterman's' would soon be 'Flor is having an affair with her married boss' not 'Flor went for a sandwich with single boring Colin from QA one lunchtime'.
If you were seen at a hospital, it wouldn't take long for them to fabricate that into an unwanted pregnancy.

The answer is you have to do a perfectly pitched smile: not too grinny, not too glum, but not enigmatic either, and no smirking. Very tricky to get right.

She cant win really .If shes not seen out and about ,defo dead/getting divorced /lying low.Now she posts a good pic of herself and thats wrong too! She is normally "glammed up" so looks a bit different is all

we don't need to go back to Diana, this has been happening to Meghan for 7 years. Have they said what her surgery was? I think thats been kept private, so you wouldn't know if it is serious or not.

I don't think it's kate it doesn't look like her she looks like a woman in mid twenties at the oldest. As an aside I had no idea Windsor had a farm shop I must go next time we are there

I have been seriously ill and I was not walking around carrying full shopping bags and walking sprightly after this length of time. My DH was driving us to a nice park and I was walking very slowly to the first bench to get out and have some exercise. It took me over a year before I could walk around fast like "Kate" does in this video.
I think those saying it is normal to be sprightly and carry a full shopping bag so soon after major abdominal surgery, have never had anything seriously wrong. Oh and I was back at work.

Or as a third option they could offer an honest, transparent statement confirming she will be at the Easter service next week…

I have been to the farm shop a few times, it is very overpriced.

If KP are so desperate to put a stop to this unbecoming circus a proper statement would be issued. Someone is working with purpose to continue this fiasco. Or they really don’t know if she will be able to ( thus confirming this isn’t Kate skipping through the farm shop!)
