Harry and Meghan are so petty and bitter

They knew that announcing Meghan's new venture would be big news. So they dropped it 45 minutes before William was due to speak yesterday evening. At an awards ceremony dedicated to harry and William's mother's memory.

But that wasn't good enough. Oh no. They then announced the winner of their own awards. While the Diana awards were still going on and Prince William was handing out prizes.

Is there no level this petty, bitter couple won't sink to?!

Harry and Megan don’t have to coordinate their work with the RF. The title of this thread is so deeply offensive that I’ve reported it as hate speech.

🤣🤣🤣

concernedchild · 15/03/2024 16:00

@BigFluffyHoodie perhaps they're adults who don't really see life as a competition and instead realised that two things can happen simultaneously without it detracting from either one.

MarmaladeMarkle · 15/03/2024 16:01

Yep and pigs can fly😂

Yes, that'll be it.

You're definitely the type of people to be annoyed about someone else being pregnant on your wedding day, or someone announcing their engagement on your birthday

Got to admit, I’m neither a Harry & Meghan or a royal family fan, in this case the launch was probably planned ages ago and the timing could be an unfortunate coincidence. Anyway, H&M don’t have anything to do
with the RF, so why should they consider William in their timing of their new venture?

This can’t be correct, as Harry was also presenting. So they knew.

it was just a cynical ploy. They knew there would be controversy and that controversy would give publicity to the new site, so hence that’s why they did this.

unpleasant. Absolutely. But they have seldom done something anyone would consider selfless or tasteful. They were simply creating controversy to publicise the brand, and they knew if they launched at the same time everyone would talk about. It.

just more shitty self serving behaviour.

He and Meghan released the news of their new venture and awards recipients during the ceremony dedicated to the grandmother of their children. In order to stick it to Prince Willliam.

I just can't get my head around it.

I don’t think it was to stick it to William op. They simply did it as it would create headlines and controversy , and so give publicity to Megan’s website. It was a cynical ploy for publicity.

Eeurgh. I guess you're right. It's awful either way.

Well they did announce their first pregnancy at Eugenie's wedding reception, so...

And to think all this for the pursuit of Jam sales

wordler · 15/03/2024 16:13

Well considering that they are launching a business that they presumably want to be successful and as neither has experience or track record of launching a business like this they have a team which includes a launch manager so there’s two scenarios:

Launch manager says “we’ve done the research and the optimum time to start the launch is a Thursday evening, middle of March at around 5pm West coast time.”

Harry - “that clashes with the Diana Awards can we do it the next night?
LM - “nope that will tank our whole launch”

or

LM - “if we launch during the Diana award thing we’ll get twice as many eyeballs on the new website and IG, yes there will be some criticism but this is business so it’s worth it. Your royal link is your brand plus even the hate clicks will help us with the algorithms”

They’d be crazy to start a new business with the goal of embarrassing the RF rather than trying to make money.

BigFluffyHoodie · 15/03/2024 16:14

Eurgh. It's all so grubby.

Of course they timef it to overshadow William's appearance. They never do anything without the Royal Family in mind. Hence the use of the title on her new jampot website. And yes I know its boring to be taking them to task all the time but they are a dreadful example to us all and have done horrible things that show they are two horrible characters. People should stop making excuses for them otherwise those two twits will never learn to be better people.

Pretty sure the people who are bad examples are William and Kate

Oh give me a break. Would you shaft your grandparents on tv just before they died? Or any time really. If you would and think that's acceptable, there's nothing more to be said to you.

They’re despicable. Yesterday should have been about the Diana Legacy Awards and Harry is as ugly as can be for condoning what went on yesterday.
My mum used to talk about the polarised views of Princess Diana back in the 80s. She said some people sold so nastily about her and others said they loved her. None of them knew her personally. Being so involved and invested in something you’re not at all involved or invested in and calling another person despicable because they did something or made a decision is the reason the world is exploding. People get too angry about things that are nothing to do with them. Relax!

It's funny, they do seem to time their announcements/activities somewhat with other RF events or activities - starter for ten
Announcement of Archie's pregnancy in one of the York sisters wedding days if I recall correctly

seafronty · 15/03/2024 16:26

This is one of the most sickening things I've ever read. I just hope William and/or Kate and/or Harry and/or Meghan aren't too angry/upset/saddened/sickened by this too. I just hope QE2/The King/Diana aren't too angry/upset/saddened/sickened by this event/action/story. In all of this, its Paddington Bear I feel sorry for. That noble little fellow. And look, his nephews/uncles/cousins fighting like this.
