Harry and Meghan are so petty and bitter

They knew that announcing Meghan's new venture would be big news. So they dropped it 45 minutes before William was due to speak yesterday evening. At an awards ceremony dedicated to harry and William's mother's memory.

But that wasn't good enough. Oh no. They then announced the winner of their own awards. While the Diana awards were still going on and Prince William was handing out prizes.

Is there no level this petty, bitter couple won't sink to?!

As I've remarked in previous posts, there's no point in trying to argue with a True Believer. But it's so interesting to see.

A true believer is shorthand for describing people who believe everything someone says.

For what it’s worth this is what I think. I think Harry has been an angry man since the sudden death of his mother. I think he despised the press. I think he was vulnerable and unhappy. He met M and I believe she played on all his insecurities. I think all her self promotion of being involved with humanitarian work was to emulate his mother and lull him into some sort of false narrative. I’m assuming she couldn’t believe her luck when he chose her over his family. My belief is that no one in the RF was in the slightest bit bothered that she was mixed race and I’d guess she was only person who kept mentioning it. I think William’s only concern was that she was a divorced woman. I think once the pair of them run out of cash she will move onto another vulnerable man

So you don’t want to answer my questions? That’s fine.

I think your questions are based on a premise that may or may not be true and we have no evidence it happened. There's no point commenting on whether remarks made are good or bad if they didn't even happen in the first place. Important to deal in facts not hypotheticals.

There's a whole murky world out there that I've never heard of but am doing so now courtesy of MN. I don't use X . I'm not in any groups . I don't follow people. What I am beginning to realise ( slow on the uptake ) is that there is a whole constructed scenario of hate and bullying out there. It is the kind of thing that Meghan referred to. It is the kind of thing that schools etc try to clamp down on . It seems to be part of this current social media addicted world. It gives every person the ability to put online their opinions no matter how outlandish or crazy or spiteful. It's a world fuelled by reality type tv shite where the "winner" is the person who is the bitchiest, the most drama creating, the backbiter, the biggest liar and fraud out there. I have to agree with the person who said - why do the Sussex Squad not work positively? Is there nothing to push that is positive about them? It's a murky world indeed.

I think you may be right.

And you too @musthorse

I do think if I had an online presence purporting to be my followers - acting in the very way I had spoken out about - I’d be making my disgust known.

Meghan is not responsible for the acts of others but it is disappointing that she has nothing to say about the matter in her anti-bullying speeches.

To be silent on the matter almost looks as though they either approve, are complicit or even worse, maybe just don’t care about bullying. And that would be hypocritical and a let down for those who campaign with her.

There must be some positives that those who wish H&M glory which can be commented upon and concentrated on instead. Celebrated even.

no one should be responsible for having to respond to the behaviour of online trolls, but when them trolls are meeting with a guy hired to talk about abuse and planning the next play in my name, then too right you should try to distance yourself.

Had a teacher that used to use “obsequious sycophants.”

I don’t think that was his concern, I think his concern was that things were being rushed and that Meghan wasn’t fully aware of what she was getting in to, or had the wrong idea completely. He was determined that Catherine should know what she was getting in to so I presume he felt it was important that his brother ensured that same for Meghan

Allaboutthegrift · 28/03/2024 11:29

I imagine M must sit back and wonder where it all went so very wrong. I don’t think H has the emotional intelligence to realise the consequences of his actions.

He may have been a wee bit of a joker and a lad and been ribbed by the press. I doubt she was before she met him.

I wonder if she thinks she can turn it all around - more so after he was used as an example of a ‘dignitary’. Most of us are wondering why he was used as an example. I wonder if she is wondering as well.

Do they need to go all out on re-branding now? Concentrating on their lifestyle website?

Although there is no mistaking the lucrative life of the Kardashians - and how appealing that may be dollar wise - I think it would be an error of judgement to go down that route.

Maybe she needs to take him in hand and knuckle down.

That’s odd. If I had a freakish attention to detail I’d not let that stand.

I was accused of being a Sussex Squad member a couple of weeks ago simply for stating I’d not heard of them prior reading the rf threads. Apparently I was spreading propaganda or something. Ironic really considering that I am firmly a royalist. I really don’t have it in me to incite so much bile.

I don’t understand why in 2024 we have such division and hatred… I dislike that word as it’s bandied around too freely. However, I think it is correct in this context. For me, it’s another example of society crumbling and failing due to a lack of cohesion.

I hope something of substance will fill that vacuum soon. Someone on another thread wrote that the covid generation, children today, are very different, less woke. Let’s hope they can grow and lead us out of this mess.

AliceOlive · 28/03/2024 11:36

@Mummyoflittledragon I wonder about that frequently. It’s not limited to this topic by any means. And even sometimes in not choosing a side you can be set upon.

I think some argue more adamantly here because it’s become difficult to express opinions in IRL about more important topics.

I keep wondering how someone openly bullying others can have any clients. No corporation would do business with a man like this. One of his followers got fired for her bullying of the wales children.
