Do not read or comment if you aren't interested!

Shamefully starting a new Kate related thread for the fellow people like me who are so far down the rabbit hole they need to talk it out with fellow tin foil hat wearers 🤙
I want to know.. what do you think?
Where is she?
The wild theories?
Will she make the Easter Day service?
What the hell is going on over at KP?

I think she's seriously ill and will be stepping back soon.

I've got popcorn and I've got alllllll night, let's dissect.

Think of it as a couple of quid for some bank holidays. I’d happily pay that.

Make it an optional donation and we'll see how popular they are, we could have a whip round every year....performance related pay.

All these "we pay for them" posts 🫠
Honestly, yes they cost a lot in total but not per person. Spending a few quid on something you don't necessarily want to really isn't the end of the world.

What nonsense. There's no way my window cleaner would get such detailed information about my medical history from cleaning my windows!

Nono22972 · 19/03/2024 08:53

To me, the funniest part about all of this is how people here in France are still waiting for that royal announcement. It's still trending #2 here. It was #1 a couple of hours ago.

Kate is also #6

I think it's meant to be nonsense. I think it's someone trying to be funny, but it hasn't really worked.

This is such a stupid argument.

Taxpayers don't fund things individually, we fund them collectively. What's the point of looking at the cost per person? I can afford 77p a year but that's hardly the bloody point is it. Put all our 77ps together and think of what else they could be spent on. I can't believe this needs to be explained

My American Facebook friend is still desperately waiting for this announcement! She and all her friends are saying things like "We'll definitely know by Wednesday! So exciting! I wonder what it is. Maybe Charles is abdicating" etc etc

It kind of is the end of some peoples worlds though, they are dying in hospital corridors whilst we spend £86 million every year on this indulgence.

but you could use that argument for literally anything we pay for. Almost everything I pay for could be "better" spent elsewhere.

Fair comment - but we all pay for/do things that are indulgent.
The theory - whether or not it's a point anyone agrees with, is that this "indulgence" is good for the country and good for the finances of the country overall.

Please ask the families in the foodbank queue this morning if they all have money to be indulgent? Or the local hostel for the homeless.

I have come to realise that it’s actually an obscene amount to spend in the middle of a COL crisis and maybe it was never ever okay. It was better value when the Queen was alive, and now, it’s questionable to me at least.

I had so many people from around the world calling me asking me what it going on and where is Kate.

Am I not normal for not really caring as much but when that video dropped, X went crazy.

Kate was trending top 5 in so many countries. I didn't even realise that story got so big internationally:

In Spain, Italy, Weibo (Chinese Twitter), Turkey, the US,...

@Severalwhippets - does it bother you that Sadiq Khan has 1,100 City Hall employees on over £100,000 per annum?

again, you could argue that point about almost everything - there are hundreds of thousands of obscene payments for things that could be better used elsewhere. The RF isn't the cause of food banks.

£86 million annually would transform food banks.

That really rather depends on your view. I wholeheartedly disagree with paying for a monarchy and would rather my 'contribution' go to a charity that is desperate for funds. The RF choose what monies are declared for tax purposes. There is no IHT. How can this be fair and just when they are undoubtedly one of the wealthiest families in the UK?

MassageForLife · 19/03/2024 11:24

"you Brit filth"

Are we all filth, or just the ones that like the royal family?

Severalwhippets · 19/03/2024 11:29

I would love this to be Kate, and for her to be genuinely well - but it clearly isn’t her. We are now being gas lit for the second time into believing it and the public are rapidly losing trust.

oprahwindsock · 19/03/2024 11:39

So ........ Charles has kidney cancer

Catherine was a match so donated a kidney.

The donor always takes longer to recover.

Thank you

Well we aren’t. Only a handful of us even care to discuss it either way. Most think it’s silly. Some are not even aware. We are accustomed to the tabloid press whipping up nonsense. Now we have the Russian as having a go at it alongside them.
