Yes I think that’s it, it’s not the whole truth, it looks like someone who knew what they were doing created a composite image using some advanced software, potentially then Kate did some minor edits the next morning before issuing it. So she’s not lied as such, she’s just neglected to say the prior actions and for obvious reasons.

Yes but he will not be totally hands off. And when you add in all the other projects, as well as diary management ie what engagements, briefings etc, then there is a shit load going in behind the scenes.

Well I mean we do know, don’t we. It’s not like he just sits there being told what to do. Christ they’ve 60 staff in their offices alone. Now sure there is managers, but there will absolutely be a large amount of direction, they aren’t puppets sitting there being told what to do

Why would Kate want to adust an image that had been done professionally? It's almost like they wanted people to spot it had been manipulated or set it up so it was done badly, so she could take responsibility.

I think it's most likely that William has a non-executive chair role (as well as public figurehead). CEOs need a specific skillset, one William obviously own't have.

Why wouldn’t she, as she said she wanted it to be the best it could. To be honest, I’d prob do something similar. I don’t see the big deal there, and I don think there was an ulterior motive . Some one created it, she did some very minor enhancements so everyone looked all bright and shiny.

It will be a member of her team, in house. Someone close to her. It wasn’t sent to some agency. And yes factually it was saved twice, one set of changes was done with some very advanced software that no lay person could use and a second set showed some sloppy edits.

I'm not disputing that she may have tinkered with it, I'm wondering why she would when it had already been done better.

It makes zero sense that Kate would have done that.

@Lampslights Do you know where I can find the name of the advanced software that was used on it? I'm curious to know how they know that.

Kate is clearly a very proficient photographer and I don't see why she wouldn't be capable of using Photoshop at quite an advanced level. It's insulting to assume otherwise.

Unless of course, she's extremely incapacitated, which in that case someone else might have done the editing (I hope she's well enough to be in a position to do it herself)

So many people have stated that she couldn't have edited the picture which is founded on absolutely nothing. Equally we can assume she is capable of advanced photo editing. It's easily a self-taught skill and anyone who thinks otherwise has clearly never used Photoshop.

Really? I mean who knows who went first, but yes there is sloppy edits and sophisticated ones, if an image was as crucial as this one I probably maybe would have done some minor edits. I really don’t see the big deal. Clearly it was a mistake, but meh, I could see myself tinkering with something if it was hugely important and maybe made me anxious. I find it entirely plausible Kate did some minor editing,

it isn't minor editing though, its manipulation, pixels have been moved, more than one photo was used, most of the editing is around her face....

@Lampslights you would let a professional do edits then you would do lots of major edits totally changing your face, and where your hands are?
That would strike me as a terribly arrogant thing to do. I can imagine Andrew thinking he could do better than the professionals, but not Kate.
