The royal family

Do the Royal Family just think we are really really stupid?

Just that really. From Harry’s car chase to Prince Andrew being at a Pizza Express kid’s party.

And now we’re supposed to believe that the country’s biggest PR machine in the middle of a media storm just let Prince William take a casual Mothers Day pic on his iPhone, let the missus edit it and then post it to the world?

😒

@ChVrches doing the number of engagements Charles did as Prince for a start.

I'm sorry but I don't understand what you are saying.

ChVrches · 13/03/2024 20:58

Now don't be silly. They use delegation.

Edited

Delegation? No way !!!!!!!

I have it on good authority that they use cloning.

RosesAndHellebores · 13/03/2024 21:03

Yes, they or their machine, do think we are really stupid. The Kate photo issue is a smokescreen. I imagine much bigger fish of greater import are frying.

ChVrches · 13/03/2024 20:55

What do you really expect him to do though? Be out there lassooing Dartmoor ponies, installing bat houses, making jam? He is the heir to the throne.

😂😂

ChVrches · 13/03/2024 21:05

I have been in some odd Walmarts mind you and always end up coming out with donuts.

Why can’t any of these “ bigger fish” theories be articulated? Assuming it’s not the nonsense ones …

RosesAndHellebores · 13/03/2024 21:26

@Calliopespa well I wouldn't put my theory on sm where it could be traced back to me.

According to reports Princess Anne is very busy all the time, but you’d be very lucky to pick a random member of the public who could tell you what she has done.

Whatever the job is, it’s not like normal jobs.

Maybe because her birthday has been solemnly listed on the Court Circular as....who knows what?

There are millions of people posting theories why would they be tracing yours?

I'd quite like him to be demonstrating progress on two of his stated life's work missions. Solving homelessness and establishing peace in the Middle East but I expect he's too busy with climate change

How do the fish 🐟 get much bigger than the future king and queen of the nation? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m not quite sure you’ve followed the quote history. The comment made was that the photo issue is a smokescreen for “ bigger fish.” In other words, there is something far more important going on behind the scenes. People keep stating that but can’t actually articulate what except for a few wacky theories that have no supporting basis.

mrshoho · 13/03/2024 21:54

I do find it all really odd. I can understand Kate wanting privacy to recover but it's as if the children have also been removed from the public eye. I don't expect a paparazzi frenzy but these kids had been regularly shown at functions, helping out a food banks, scouting activities etc etc. The photo has made the situation even more bizarre.

… but in any case loads of fish are bigger. I’m not particularly for or against the monarchy but they don’t have any especially “ large fish” role in this day and age.

They did these occasions with their mum. Who is now ill. They don't get papped when going about their daily business, it was the same with Harry and William, they are not in the public eye as such unless on special occasions. The family has not been attending special occasions recently and their mother has a significant health problem, the last thing anyone needs is for these very young children to be paraded.

All will be well. In the meantime, the best anyone can do is to try and be that bit less hateful and that bit more compassionate and civilised, if not towards the royal family, then in general.

Calliopespa · 13/03/2024 22:05

I think Kate is recovering from surgery just as they have explained. End of.

I don’t see anything substantive to suggest otherwise.

The fact she might have been wanting to tweak her appearance in the photo seems to me to support that claim, rather than undermine it.

mrshoho · 13/03/2024 22:14

The issue with the photo was more than just a little airbrushing though. The news agencies wouldn't 'kill' a photo for minor touch ups!

Well it might have been a whole head from her pre surgery days.

I’m not saying that was wise - or even that they weren’t right to pull it; rather that it doesn’t prove there is anything more to speculate about than surgery and her feeling a bit self-conscious about a less than finest fettle appearance .

TallerSally · 13/03/2024 22:23

This article is interesting - puts the latest botched comms from Kensington Palace in context of historical media manipulation by the royal family, and lays out why the current crisis needs to be resolved with real undoctored footage of Kate - no more lies, false statements and fake photos!

(oh, and sadly for her "Fakey Katie" is going to stick)

If you spend enough time looking you will always find an article that supports what you want

She will only be called Fakey Katie by horrible people who aren't particularly intelligent, best ignored

mrshoho · 13/03/2024 22:31

wincarwoo · 13/03/2024 22:16

So why did they kill it?

The photo was removed due to evidence of digital manipulation. I imagine it was a series of photos used to create this one.

And strangely enough, normally I don’t really feel anything particularly for or against them any more than any other family I don’t know. But seeing a photo of a mum sitting with her innocent children who are all trying to cooperate and hideous arrows highlighting “ what’s wrong” with them in it has actually made me feel more defensive of them than not. So for some the drama that the haters are trying to generate will actually have the reverse effect.

wincarwoo · 13/03/2024 22:32

Ok so there's no back story then. Just didn't meet standards. No conspiracy.
