And now we’re supposed to believe that the country’s biggest PR machine in the middle of a media storm just let Prince William take a casual Mothers Day pic on his iPhone, let the missus edit it and then post it to the world?

Because the news agencies don’t accept mash up photos, which seems a very good thing, with increasing abuse of AI.

The Royals would usually be photographed by a professional, and just wouldn’t release photos if they weren’t happy with them, so the problem wouldn’t arise.

However at the point the BBC started participating in the conspiracy drama, they felt under pressure to release a picture.

Given that half the Establishment at the time were Nazi sympathisers, that wasn’t the issue. The problem was not the nature of Edward VIII’s views, it was the fact that he was making them known independently and indiscriminately against his ministers advice, thus ignoring the fundamental principle of constitutional monarchy.

Aside from the fact the photo has been doctored for whatever reason.. why couldn’t they just post a real photo?! The fact they have effectively lied to us all is surely the worst part here. They’ve posted their nice little family photo and posted their thing underneath with both the date and who took it (no mention of who photoshopped it). Then put it out to the world and all the news outlets to report. The news outlets quickly picked up on this, highlighting just how daft they seem to think we all are that no one was going to notice.

I’m a huge Kate fan normally but what on earth is happening here 🤦🏼‍♀️ it really isn’t difficult just to either do nothing and return when you said or just be seen in real life or on Instagram, without any sort of lie surrounding it

The RF are over time for them to go and get real jobs. How many commoners can afford £50,000 a year private schooling for their children or private top health care. Private education and health care comes from our pockets were paying them to live good while we live in shit.

Plot twist, Kensington Palace has a bunch of devotees to start endless threads about Kate’s illness. You just to keep the attention on themselves albeit through Kate. Then when Kate has recovered enough to be rolled out to public engagements, the mass hysteria will draw in crowds.

But sure you can see that this is proper tin foil hat stuff? I’m not taking part in it, I’m saying it’s obsessive and weird and dull to be so consumed in whether a complete stranger is still off sick from work or not.

I always assumed the poses photographs of the Queen with all her grandchildren/great-grandchildren were mash-ups of different takes?

It seems so incredibly conceited to think she’d get away with it, surely they know people will pour over every pixel in any photo they release. And now everyone thinks she’s got something to hide.

I would guess because the media speculation had got out of hand and she is recovering from major surgery and the children were fighting and they couldn’t get a picture where one of them wasn’t blinking or scowling.

in alternative universes they haven’t released a photo and the Mail is demanding a police investigation, and they have released an unedited photo and headlines scream ‘LOUIS PICKS NOSE!!!’

I couldn't really give a flying. They are entitled to.some privacy. There is a cease and desist on the reasons for her ill health. The press know why but may not publish. The press agencies had a pop using the photos out of mendaciousness.

It was interesting that the Indy ran a story on Rose Hanbury today.

I think she’s probably looking rough. I expect she hadn’t been for her tanning top ups, maybe gained or lost weight. Most of us would get away with it post surgery but fairly predictably there would be magazine coverage crowing “ Royal Minger” or similar and she probably just didn’t feel like being media cannon fodder when she’s poorly.
