Yet another picture agency has ‘killed’ the Mother’s Day photo due to credibility issues

KP PR are really not doing well with this!

And now PA media have all issued picture kill notifications to their editors and publishers regarding the Mother’s Day image due to how highly edited it was

Not going to help with the conspiracy theories

And that’s normal, and expected of the images from KP

The issue with this image is how highly it’s been edited that the media and picture agencies are doubting its veracity

For yet another agency to refuse to publish after she clarified is pretty big

I agree. It’s hard to believe they would refuse to use it due to editing a hand or cardigan sleeve. If that was the case, there would hardly be any photos that were usable.

I think they must believe it has been edited a lot more and is potentially a very misleading photo. This is a big fuck up for the royals and it does seem possible that they’re covering up something, but just making it worse.

ethelredonagoodday · 11/03/2024 12:53

I just think the whole thing is bizarre and seemingly has been very badly managed.

Please. Why did you start a third thread on this, just why?

Please, why did you open it. Just why?

Frequency · 11/03/2024 12:56

We absolutely do not need proof of life. We have no right to this woman's private life.

If something other than her looking a bit ropey is being covered up for a reason like the family wanting/needing privacy.

People need to stop with all the conspiracy bollocks and let the poor woman recover in peace.

VesperLind · 11/03/2024 12:57

I think the agencies know or suspect that PssoW doesn’t look like that at the moment and the original image will show that, thus giving the world the picture it really wants. What’s interesting is that either this image has been doctored to look like her or the pap shot from last week isn’t her. They’re between a rock and a hard place.

BenefitWaffle · 11/03/2024 12:58

The press agencies asked for a copy of the original photo to verify if it was simply poor amateur editing to enhance the photo. The palace said no.

BenefitWaffle · 11/03/2024 13:05

InfraredLight · 11/03/2024 12:22

The posters saying that news agencies don't allow any editing etc. How many times can you ever call a 'kill' notification ever being released for a photograph of this type. I cannot recall a single one. It is unprecedented.

They are making a clear statement - do not send us clearly fabricated/doctored photographs and expect us to circulate them as genuine. We will play the game to a certain extent but won't be party to deception. That to me is the message that is being sent.

There are calls for the original - the original will never appear because it will be radically different to the picture provided.

This theory makes the most sense.

Falafelsandw1ch · 11/03/2024 13:25

Look @Helfs, I love you batshit conspiracy theorists and your crackpot ideas that’s she’s now a zombie or she’s had an extra leg attached or her latest skin slough has gone wrong, but there’s a billion threads on this and your groupies are all over Twitter. She has admitted she’s edited it, multiple credible photographers have said it’s clearly the layering fail and at least one of the agencies who pulled it said that they DON’T doubt its veracity or credibility, it’s just that such editing goes against their guidelines.

Can I recommend you remove your tin hat and pull back the curtains? It may hurt your eyes at first but once they adjust you’ll realise that’s it’s a pretty decent day. Go for a walk. You’ll soon realise there aren’t reptiles walking amongst us and that they’ve tried to put out a photo to shut you all up, done it hurriedly, made a wee bit of a mess of it and given you all something more to salivate over. Please realise that conspiracy theorists need people to believe this sort of batshit stuff. It’s how cults get started. You can’t be open to letting your husband have multiple wives and hand over all your money until you fully believe that God is actually a green sheep. This is how they get you. Step away from Twitter and all the crazies on there and get some fresh air.

It’s not the big secret you think it is. Sometimes in life, the most obvious answer is the correct one.

Good for them. Once you start giving into the crazy bastards they only want more and more. They should never have tried to get everyone off their backs with this photo in the first place, they made a huge fuck up trying to get everyone to calm the fuck down. Should have just stuck to their original message of ‘no’.

Edited

This is a very odd post

I don’t have a tin hat, I also don’t have any weird conspiracy theories.

I am merely stating, based on the fact I’ve worked in this area for the last 12 years, this is a very bold move and points to there being serious concerns regarding the photo.

Getty images for example are usually pretty lax in regards to the editing of photos submitted, the last time they issued a kill notice was due to concerns the photo was completely faked.

So whether you like it or not, factually all evidence points to a large issue with the photo not the odd touch up of hands and outfits

You clearly do, how many threads?! It’s obsession.

AP or whatever they’re called said they didn’t think it was fake, they said it was just too edited and broke their guidelines. No one is disputing it’s clearly been over edited, but you’re trying to indicate that there are some sort of dark forces at work, like the ones on Twitter saying it’s someone else’s body and they’ve just put her head on top. You’re looking for things that aren’t there and gleefully trying to gossip about it. And it’s coming off utterly crackers.

It’s definitely tin hat territory, whether you like it or not.

Tittyfilarious · 11/03/2024 13:49

What do people really think is going on with Kate ?

One thread

I’m also not implying anything of the sort, where have I said anything about dark forces or a fake head

Facts are this wasn’t a quick fun edit by an amateur photographer.

I think she's been ill and either gained weight or is otherwise looking a bit ropey due to the illness and due to the turbulent relationship they have with the press and the overzealousness of the public/social media she wants to (and has the right to) recover privately.

And I think we should respect that and stop posting bollocks, outlandish theories, and demanding "proof" of things. Royal or not she's a young mum who deserves some privacy.

Young mum?

she’s bloody Middle Aged

OP posts:

Mother of young children, then. If she were an old mum or purple polka-dotted alien she would still deserve her right to privacy to be respected.

aliceinthecities · 11/03/2024 13:59

It's not about respecting her privacy. I don't need her medical information. But I don't want lies put out by PR from the royal family published in the newspapers I read. This is not about Kate, for me.

Newbutoldfather · 11/03/2024 14:00

Apparently the bush looks later in the year (not a botanist, but I bet there are some on here!).

So maybe a new one of the kids fused with one of her from last year…

She has privacy. We haven’t seen her.

I think it’s dangerous to try to shut conversation down. Let people talk, the Royals (and you) can just ignore it. It’s very strange how desperate some people are to shut down discussion. I’m sure it’s an unpleasant part of being a royal, but I disagree with closing down conversation.

And no one has disputed that. Most likely, she feels like she doesn’t look good enough. Most likely she’s done a heavy edit or switched her face in from an old photo. I’ve had hormonal problems recently and my face looks terrible. I’m so embarrassed about it. But the world aren’t looking at me, they don’t expect me to look beautiful all the time and they don’t wait in the wings desperate to tear me down. I reckon she has probably done a heavy edit on how she looks because if she put how she was really looking out there, people like you would be on here saying shit about how bad she looks or speculating or saying she’s going to die, like all you ghouls who are blithering on about this. Shoes done a shit job and been caught out, like the Kardashians and all the others do.

It’s not the huge deal you think it is. Or you’re trying to make it out to be. It’s just a poorly, stressed out woman who bowed to pressure from people like you think this needs to be discussed and frothed over to the nth degree. I feel sorry for her, poor sod. She should never have bowed to pressure. Her advisors are terrible.

TastyTakoyaki · 11/03/2024 14:02

I agree she absolutely has the right to privacy, especially where health is concerned, future queen or not.

Question is- why post at all? Conspiracy theories haven’t gone anywhere, if anything they are now circulating ten fold. Eyes are on them. I should imagine it’s pissed off the press and I can foresee this still being a talking point in a weeks time.

multiple kill notices is a big deal

It is unprecedented for all these agencies to issue the same directive for the same photo so publicly.

Why don’t you stop posting on this thread if it’s so triggering for you

Nah I’m good posting, thanks. Just like you.

But everyone, including Catherine herself, have said it’s edited. So what? She did a big edit? Probably for the reasons I stated. Why is that such a big deal to you?
