I am pleased to let you know that Prince William is on good form, visiting my home town today, meeting our football team and pulling a pint in the local. He clearly prioritised his engagements this week and this was far too important to miss⚽️🤣

If you are a Villa fan, I will leave you to it (Baggies til I die)

It's nice that he finally decided to do some engagements.

It isn't going to singlehandedly change the view of many (including me) that in the main he is lazy and work shy though if that is what you're getting at.

I think if he hadn't spent so many years not doing very much, there would be a lot more sympathy.

I don't get this attitude. His wife is obviously quite ill and he has three children, and just because he isn't seen doing as many engagements doesn't mean he isn't working, things will be going on behind the scenes? Different type of work to the rest of us I'm sure but wouldn't trade for any of it - constant scrutiny, always worrying your children/family are targets, having to get dressed up and speak publicly to hoardes of people on a regular basis...no thanks!

What would you like him to do

Well, as I am sure someone will be along to explain very shortly, he does a lot of work behind the scenes which no one can articulate and also they have no live in staff (all the staff that live on the estate don't count) so he has, on top of this exhausting engagement, also got to juggle cooking tea and cleaning the loo

His wife is very ill.
Someone close to him took their own life this week.
FFS give him a break.

No matter what William does, some people will insult him till the day he begs Harry to return, abdicates along with his dc and, divorced from Kate, sits miserably in Harry’s old Nottingham Cottage digs and watches Harry and Meghan take their rightful place as joint monarchs. Am I right or am I right?

I have no great liking for Harry or Meghan either, FWIW

Emotionally its been a hard few years he has struggled with his mental health before can people just piss off his back please and move on there are worst things to be concerned about

@Olderkids It was a great to see him visit Wrexham today for the St David’s Day celebrations. I’m not a huge royalist but it was lovely to see the excitement and engagement of the children at the school he visited and the crowds outside wrexham FC, there was a great atmosphere in the town. He’ll get a hard time no matter what he does or doesn’t do, but it was lovely, it was a very positive event for wrexham after a rough few years 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I think a sick father (who is king) and a sick wife (who is the more popular half of your 'brand') would encourage me to be more visible - isn't this his moment to shine?
