I am pleased to let you know that Prince William is on good form, visiting my home town today, meeting our football team and pulling a pint in the local. He clearly prioritised his engagements this week and this was far too important to miss⚽️🤣

Cause of death was released earlier today

@WeDontTalkAboutLove I had no idea it had. But until there is an inquest the cause of death is not official, only someone's opinion.

Yes it has. I’m pretty sure an inquest isn’t needed to see that someone who had gunshot injuries to his head in a place locked from the inside will have done it to himself.

Thomas Kingston, the husband of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent’s daughter Lady Gabriella Kingston, died from a “catastrophic head injury” and a gun was found near his body, an inquest heard.
Gloucestershire Coroner’s Court heard Mr Kingston, 45, died on February 25 at his parents’ home in the Cotswolds.

In his spare time he will be shadowing his dad as Head of State and dealing with all the Duchy of Cornwall stuff.

And also the daily management of the household stuff that Harry describes in Spare as being so onerous ( and he was only the spare).

So, not busy at all.

Sadly it is all over the news. I'm not speculating. It is awful, but my comment is fair.

Wow the inquest has already happened! Life really is different for the rich.

Mu comment above is because of a close family member who died by suicide. Both my experience and everyone I spoke to said the inquest took ages to happen. Which prolonged the agony. I have never heard of an inquest happening so quickly.

Inquests initially open quickly in cases such as these , for a quick run through of circumstances, then are adjourned for a more detailed and longer sitting once investigations are complete. This will be months away

@Mumsnut maybe things have changed in the last 5 years then. Because it is not my experience.
But I will not comment on it any more as it is not relevant to the main topic.

That's the daily mail sated, time for a few more days off.

It's pretty standard for the inquest to be opened with the facts as known at the time pretty quickly, within days often.

the actual inquest itself can take quite a long time to reach a conclusion, often many months down the line once all medial reports, police investigations, witness statements etc have been completed and digested by the coroner.

I've attended a few Coroners inquests at the later stages as a professional witness and they are very much fact finding events to reach a conclusion about the facts about how someone died rather than intended to be adversarial in anyway. It's for the criminal courts to determine 'fault' if it is believed another party was involved.

He’ll need a fortnight off to recuperate now. 😀
