You know what i think happened Kate?
Same thing that happens a lot of us women, she had some kind of scare, poss cervical, and she has had perhaps a Hysterectomy, and its not been made public, because, like the rest of us, she has small kids she doesnt want to scare the shit out of. So they have just said mummy had an operation and she will be fine dont worry.
If they told the world, the kids know, and royal or not, no smally wants that kind of scare in their lives.
Thats what i think. And if that, or something similar, is the case, they are dead right to say nothing.

Agree!

Well the where is Kate campaign is gathering momentum. At sone point KP are going to have to say something…..

Newchapterbeckons · 28/02/2024 18:15

I think most of us know at this point she is seriously ill, there can be no other explanation for the total absence of communication and protocol.

I hope William is coping, as it must be a harrowing experience for him after losing his mother.

Well there can be another explanation: just firm (stubborn if you like) determination from William/ Kate that it’s not going to be splashed about.

I suspect it likely concerns digestive or reproductive parts and he/ she feel it merits privacy.

KC is older and at that stage where people are a little more sanguine about their “mortal coil.”

WTF! I am not on twitter/x but that’s appalling.

No. It’s been over two months.

The Palace said at the outset, quite clearly:

"The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private. Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share"

Since they have have confirmed that she hah left hospital, that she was spending half term with her family at Anmer, and that she is progressing well.

They were quite correct in predicting the interest in her condition, at any rate! But they clearly set out what is to be expected. You think you deserve to know more - that’s not their problem. They are acting entirely in line with what they said they would do.

William was expecting and should have been the ‘most important’ person attending. He is the senior royal in terms of precedent as Prince of Wales, and the person being commemorated was his godfather.

instead he arrives a tWindsor and is to,d that Camilla is going to be ‘the most senior royal’ and enter the chapel last ( yes, I know,

Ah, that I can get on board with. Would make sense and is definitely a ‘personal issue’. Would also explain Camilla’s grim face. God help her if Charles goes first - she’ll be in the Tower before the body is cold.

Only on here and in the tabloids. Neither of which are remotely important (or 100% truthful).

In the real world people are just getting on with their day.

Amen to that.

It’s simply NOYB

RachelGreensHair · 28/02/2024 18:27

Wish there were pinned posts to stop people popping up and saying "his cousin died" as though its new news that only they know.

  1. His cousin's husband died on Sunday.
  2. The cousins parents were at the service.
  3. The Palace have said Willy not coming to the service was not due to this.

No one expects to see her. Or have an update.

We did however expect a statement from Kate, thanking her well wishers. It’s at odds with royal protocol not to do this and highly unusual.

Doteycat · 28/02/2024 18:28

I havent been seen out, or at work, or leaving the house since November.
Im not "seriously" ill.

But I am recovering after a rotten rotten illness that absolutely took me out.
I can have a friend for coffee for an hour then its nap time again, Pretty sure Royal engagements wld have me weeping and back in the hospital, I wldnt be able to sit in the hairdressers chair long enough to start with.
One can be sick and in recovery and unable to get out and about without it being Horrible and serious and harrowing.

There's still another 6 weeks before she returns to work. That's plenty of time to put out a message.

Except we don't know what type of cancer ihe has of course so not that open.

But you have been able to knock out a few lines on here quite happily, so why hasn’t Kate even managed that?

Twitter/tiktok/online comment sections are not representative of the general population.

There is no campaign, there is a public getting on with their lives and respecting the privacy of an individual.

It’s not six weeks to Easter! It’s a few weeks away. Secondly it takes two seconds to thank people. Not exactly difficult.

^William's father is ill, his wife is ill, he has three young children.
His brother's buggered off.
If his father dies he will get a job he never applied for and had zero choice about.^

Rubbish. He's been groomed for the job since day 1.

JaneJeffer · 28/02/2024 18:31

Seems to me it's just @Newchapterbeckons pointing it out @Roussette

We've never had a royal be announced as taking 3/4months off for any reason before. So there is no version of "normal" that this is contrasting to.
