I suspect his short-notice absence yesterday was down to him receiving word that his royal cousin's 45 year old husband had been found dead unexpectedly.

A statement has been released by Kensington Palace to say that this was not the reason behind the absence.

ItsAllAboutTheDosh · 28/02/2024 16:10

The Royal Family are celebrities.
Prince Philip understood that the Royal Family could be toppled and had to pay attention to the public mood and respond to the times. That understanding appears to have been lost.

And the reason it gets to me, is I can’t bear dishonesty, being misled or being played for a fool.

They should just bloody well tell us what has happened. At this point it’s just ridiculous that they haven’t.

Is she alive?
Where is she?
Why is she totally silent?

I think we need to know after two months of radio silence. How much longer will this be allowed to continue?

Is she alive??

No, she's died and the the royal family are hoping that if they don't mention her for a while we'll all forget she ever existed and they'll never have to announce it.
Oh and her children have failed to notice as well.

You have no idea what’s wrong with her! Personally I suspected Crohns / ulcerative colitis which would explain her low weight. If she’s had her colon removed you are talking weeks and weeks to recover. My mum blew up massively, had infections, problems adjusting digestion etc etc. but like I said, we don’t know what the problem is . She could have had a kidney transplant, anything.

I’ve worked in gastro, also have loads of IBD in the family. I also thought the POW may have had a colectomy/ ileostomy for IBD. However, I still think the positive updates from the palace do not fit with the expected recovery time. After 6 weeks, most people without complications, would be able to deal with an issue with one of the kids with the support of a nanny/housekeeper/driver/PA while their DH went down the road to a memorial service.

I’m not disputing that Catherine is not back to fitness, I’m saying that she was/is much more unwell than announced and that her recovery is stormier than the press releases indicate.

But she is going to be the queen so they absolutely would not take any chances. Working in a private hospital you see how the other half live. It’s more like a hotel. And she would not have left until she was completely safe to do so and then would be on complete bed rest. I’m sure she is fine and probably reading these threads in despair. It’s sick that people are speculating that she is in a coma or on her deathbed. Despite the views that William is workshy he has a deep sense of duty and would not have missed the memorial on a whim. Most situations could have waited an hour or two so the most likely explanation is that he was ill. As for the Middletons not visiting, there is a very discreet entrance to the Windsor estate which the royals use. They don’t go rocking up to the front entrance.

The cousin died on Sunday so they would have already known about it

And they would have processed all their grief and come to terms with it within a specific time frame? It’s just happened recently. I’d give anyone space and respect if they had a poorly relative or a recent bereavement. William has had a few things happen in his family recently. Maybe he’s just navigating and dealing with all of that.

We aren’t owed salacious details. The way some posters are positively salivating whilst pretending to be ever so concerned and worried is transparent as well as ghoulish.

Newchapterbeckons · 28/02/2024 15:31

Where is she then?
Where is her statement of thanks to well wishers?

She is absolutely missing, because no one knows where is, or what has happened to her. No one has seen or heard from Kate since Christmas Day. Over two months ago.

She’s presumably at home at Adelaide cottage. She was at Anmer over half term. All this hysteria reminds me of Diana’s death all over again.

I reckon she's done a bunk but they will refuse to admit it so she will appear in a few weeks time with a new head and insist this is the PoW, a bit like (?) Ben in Eastenders who has had 3 or 4 different heads in his time 😁

Quizine · 28/02/2024 16:20

To those lecturing others about their desire for information, do back off. These privileged people are public property to a great extent. They are entitled to some privacy, but common courtesy to their "subjects" is normal. Not this total radio silence and odd shenanigans. I don't care what anyone says, there are many who are very interested in what might be going on. Human nature.

Nature abhors a vacuum, hence the speculation. Normal enough I would have thought.

No I fucking don't. Read the rest of the thread and the follow up comments before you get your knickers in a twist.

Sometimes, truth is stranger than fiction/speculation/conspiracy/fantasy/aliens

And sometimes the truth is the simplest explanation rather than the absolute batshit craziness on this thread & SM in general

I think I've had all the crazy I can take today

Off to find the hide thread button

or you could move over to YT, see what
Lady C. makes of all this, with her impeccable sources hidden behind the wainscotting in all castles palaces and hidden away homes, she is always forthright, doesn’t pull punches, you know, being so well connected,

Well you can’t be pissed off by genuine concern or the people paying for your care. It’s not on.

I think it’s the media she’s pissed off at not ordinary people. Her Office can reply to Get Well cards sent by members of the public.

Andrews behaviour was even more deplorable yesterday given the death of Tom Kingston. A death in the Windsor family yet Andy had to be all pomp, ceremony & gusto... 😡

Edited

A man who's first thought after his father died was to get his Ceremonial Admirals outfit run up ( that he then wasn't allowed to wear) doesn't really do respect or decorum.

lovescats3 · 28/02/2024 16:43

He went home to make world book day costumes for his kids

She will then rock up to Harry and tell him "you need slappin' dahn"

Lottsdsjpys · 28/02/2024 16:46

Why is Kate having some sort of abdominal issue not entirely plausible?

William missed yesterday’s event as he was unwell (non D&V) or one of the kids were.

or tbh he could also just not have been that arsed.

I don’t get the need for conspiracy

Indeed, this very board is almost 100% speculation most days. Just like much of this thread. Which is why this thread fits in just fine.

Babycote · 28/02/2024 16:54

He's next due in Stafford at. Police event on 5 March according to royal diary

BagpussGaveABigYawnAndSettledDownToSleep · 28/02/2024 16:56

What a completely bonkers thread. I've nothing to add, just placemarking so I can carry on reading when I get home!

Nightblindness · 28/02/2024 16:57

Has anyone suggested Kate is pregnant, has hyperemesis again and is also waiting for her 20 week scan before announcing it? She is old enough that a pregnancy comes with extra risks. The timing would fit. goes AWAL in January, announces she will be out of action until after Easter.....

Well, it's a nicer thought than all this horrid speculation that she has something seriously wrong with her.

lovescats3 · 28/02/2024 16:58

In the TV footage from November 21st when she was wearing all red, I noticed she was painfully thin and kept staring at the ground and didn't smile, hopefully she's ok.there were rumours William had an affair with rose cholmondley when she was expecting Louis

The person who started these rumours has said he lied

lovescats3 · 28/02/2024 16:59

Whatever is happening it's not a good look for any of the royals having Andrew leading them in the walk up to a church

Fraudornot · 28/02/2024 17:03

I'm surprised there has been no leaks at all about what is wrong with Kate. Even in journalism land I haven't heard anyone know what is wrong.
