I highly doubt a member of the Royal Family would pull out of an event due to a "security threat". That is essentially negotiating with terrorists. They would keep calm and carry on. Unless it was a credible bomb threat in which case the whole place would be evacuated.

I suspect Kate looks very unwell/thin and does not wish to be seen until she looks better. But yes, I would have expected a statement at some point saying "thanks for all the well wishes, I'm looking forward to resuming duties after Easter"

Robert Lacey in the 1970s wrote a book called Majesty, about the late queen. One of the things he quoted was all the 'revelations' made about the RF in foreign mags, which by and large she found very amusing. This is not an accusation, it's wild speculation based - like most of the stuff on here - on nothing at all except 'Royal Family won't sue and they sell, so let's make something up.'

Am also a royalist and am with you both here. I don’t think (as a pp said) it’s like the scenario with the boys after Diana died. They were minors and people were baying for the Queen’s blood. The boys were paraded in front of the crowds literally to prevent the Queen being attacked, potentially even to save the monarchy.

To add in edit - I’m not suggesting we need photos. A personal thank you would be reassuring. She is our future queen.

The journalist at the heart of the leak seems very confident she will not be sued, that her sources are impeccable, and she has even gone further and clarified it was ‘induced’ not an accidental coma, and the prospects are ‘not favourable’

Maybe there's been nothing from the Middleton because their priority is Catherine & they're following her wishes to keep her health private. The Middletons have always been very tight lipped when it comes to the Royals

If they took legal action against this then all the Internet detectives would take from that that the reports they didn't sue over must be true.

Shes not bloody MIA. Mia would be not seen since Christmas and no explanation

I mentioned before, but I think it's also unusual for William not to have been seen around other members of the family, like the event he just pulled out of for example. The Monarch has cancer, his wife is sick, I would expect more signs of family togetherness.

Most of us who want change want to stop funding them. Maybe they can go get proper jobs and realise what it really us like for everyone and then actually advocate proper change for their 'subjects'

The longer this goes on, the worse it gets.

It feels to me now the Queen has died, the family no longer have her instruction, discipline or experienced guidance regarding the management of delicate and sensitive matters.

They are all doing their own thing.

KC is over sharing. PA is back on the scene with an emotional intelligence deficit, and I believe PW has put his foot down and said under no circumstances can anything be released about Catherine. Nothing. Nada. Going against all the good counsel he will no doubt have received. He is going to do it his way. Now Catherine is seriously unwell he has remained stubborn even in the face of wild speculation and public concern.

When will the public outcry begin? Because that is the next step. People are going to start to demand to know that she is even still alive.

I am afraid the black out is just making everything worse at this point, and they will lose the public’s support, and it’s a long road back.

She is absolutely missing, because no one knows where is, or what has happened to her. No one has seen or heard from Kate since Christmas Day. Over two months ago.

The new Danish king is nowhere near as popular as his mother has been. They have numerous palaces that they process around in the same way as our Royals family do and at least 2 of the children are in private education. They got into a lot of trouble a few years ago for leaving Denmark for supposedly 3 months to live in Switzerland, press and public reaction meant that they had to come home in a rush , it also turned out that they had a private ski chalet there that they were letting on Airbnb for profit which I think that had to agree to stop. Frederick has been known as the playboy Prince . It’s not all rosy there either

Apart from being told she was ill in hospital and then that she was recuperating at her family home you mean 🙄

But Kate's just lazy. Always has been, always will be. And William is barely better than her. So her taking loads of time off using a medical excuse isn't a surprise. There won't be anything wrong with her that removing the funding from the Royal Family (and their free homes) wouldn't cure. William probably thought 'why should I have to turn up to something if Kate doesn't' and stayed home watching daytime tv and shining his bald patch.

She is exactly where the initial statement said she would be. Resting, in private, following her surgery. They said no info would be given unless necessary.

She still has another 6 weeks off to go. No doubt there will be some sort of message nearer the end of her break.
