It just occurred to me, maybe William has developed a lactose intolerance so he has D&V, and he will no longer be able to eat cheese!!!!😱

And it's the second item on the BBC news. Seriously. William "fails" to attend the memorial service, and once again, the people at the heart of the event are forgotten in the midst of sensational reporting of a none story. Deemed more important than the crisis in Parliament over Lindsay Hoyle.

You are absolutely right. The amount of horrible things that have been said about Kate and William on social media is astonishing.

It’s built up a lot of momentum from the seeds that were planted, looks almost co-ordinated.

Harry has backstabbed his family, there’s tangible evidence of it, and yet we apparently shouldn’t hold negative opinions on it, on things he has actually done.

But apparently it’s ok to be angry at William - because…oh wait we don’t even know what he’s done 😂 best make something up then eh 😂 manufactured outrage indeed 😂

William has a wife that’s unwell, a sick father, recent bereavements, lots going on, a traitor brother calling his wife a racist etc. You’d think there would be a little compassion and perspective at least.

Edited

Couldn’t have put it better myself 👏

RoyallyRhubarb · 28/02/2024 11:23

And he’s lost his case against the Home Office. How much is this going to cost him?

RoyallyRhubarb · 28/02/2024 11:27

He reminds me of someone I knew who went out with a girl and then finished with her. She sent him letters from a solicitor trying to get her stuff back when all she had to do was ask him directly - we were students so it was a jumper etc. He said that it was her way of keeping in touch. Maybe all these court cases are Harry’s way of keeping in touch with the U.K.? He can’t let it go, can he? Don’t they say that the best revenge is to move on, live well and not give a second thought to the things that/who did them wrong?

mrsmingleton · 28/02/2024 11:29

@RoyallyRhubarb that's a good point. Yes people sometimes cannot let go and ANY contact is good contact in their mind. I imagine he feels more "Princely" when in the UK as opposed to in the USA.

I see it as something worse. To me, it shows how entitled he is, he truly thinks he should have special treatment all the time. He had his gran, grhs, intervene and write a letter to them. That’s abuse of power. And he refuses to accept the outcome, he puts it down to it being unfair and against him. He uses his persecuted victim complex to manipulate others into giving in. That’s what people with cluster b personality disorder (narcs and psychopaths) do.

Won’t have a beard 😆

RoyallyRhubarb · 28/02/2024 11:36

Clean young goat as opposed to dirty old goat? Or goat as in the Greatest Of All Time?

Interesting point about coordinated social media. Do you think it’s the Russians who are trying to destabilise the Monarchy?

Could well be! We do know hostile states operate in that way. And why else would genuine posters be distributing AI generated ‘newspaper’ articles. It’s also so bogus what they’re apparently outraged about. I find it funny they have to reach so hard to find ammunition too. Resorting to actual lies. I was reading something about how they’re getting so good at making deep fake videos now it can be tricky to see through them sometimes. I wonder what steps media platforms will be taking to spot it earlier?

(The latest faux concern for Kate bonkers thread, does indeed reference previous recent 🦇 💩 threads in its AI generated ‘evidence’. So yup, someone’s been trying to sow the seeds. Maybe Russia or SS or both!)

RoyallyRhubarb · 28/02/2024 14:42

I am going to have to avoid those threads. Some people are absolutely ghastly.

MaturingCheeseball · 28/02/2024 14:46

Me too. It’s raising my blood pressure!

Turtlerussell · 28/02/2024 15:29

The abolitionists who are losing their minds over not having regular updates and wanting to know all kinds of intimate private details about the royals 😂😂😂😂 imagine how they’d really fare if they were dismantled - they clearly wouldn’t cope with the absence

Don't you think they'd find something else or someone else to rail about all day long?

Like what though? They clearly don’t like focusing on actual politics and things they can influence and change - it seems like they enjoy having a figurehead that has not real teeth that they can blame for everything

pilates · 28/02/2024 17:22

RoyallyRhubarb that is an interesting thought. It would be so easy for H&M to go and live a quiet life if they really wanted to. I wish the tabloids would stop reporting on them. I know the demand is there but it’s not in a positive way but a rubbernecking kind of way.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 28/02/2024 18:15

@RoyallyRhubarb I have no idea of the age of the goat, but the cheese itself had been knocking around my fridge for a couple of weeks and was taking on its own personality and asking for a tenancy agreement. It therefore needed to be cooked any which way to get rid of it, because I can't abide waste.

As for Russian bots. Remember the article in The Hill the other week? Destabilising any unions between countries, whether economic, military or of friendship like the Commonwealth, absolutely opens the doors for Russia and China to swoop in and take a foothold. Destabilising the UK monarchy is obviously going to destabilise the Commonwealth. Relatively poor and defenseless countries in strategic locations are like gold. That's why Cuba was such an important ally for the USSR.

AliceOlive · 28/02/2024 19:52

I need more cheese.

Turtlerussell · 28/02/2024 19:56

Yes! Cheese is the perfect antidote!
