Also, Sophie's mother sadly died about 20 years ago (I think her father is still alive though), and god love Anne but she's very much her father's daughter. So, I guess the Queen became her surrogate mum and Sophie was the daughter she never had with Anne.

The King has awarded Edward the Order of the Thistle, the highest Scottish honour, on the occasion of his birthday. Although I hope he got cake as well 😀

I love Sophie. And it’s interesting that she’s wearing her hair down a lot more since HMTLQ’s passing. She has beautiful hair.
