So Harry flew for 11 hours and then spoke to his father for 45 minutes ? Charles then bobbed to Sandringham by helicopter and Harry checked into a hotel. I mean wouldn't you think Harry would have gone to Sandringham with Charles maybe ?

So, Supporters, if you were Charles would you tell Harry the details of your illness - prognosis, treatment etc? Would you, hand on heart, trust him not to tell anyone else?

It’s laughable how many of you think that Harry is making this all about himself when no one has seen William in weeks. He’s acting so guilty, hiding away acting like his days are spent doing the school run.

Harry - releases a statement saying he’s flying coming back to the UK to see his father.
William - says absolutely nothing publicly about his father.

Top tip: if someone realises a statement, it’s because they want the Press to cover it, and them.

Wonder when he'll go back ?

Wonder when he'll go back ?

When he’s got enough gossip for a new book.

Not sure why KC had to rush back to Sandringham? Surely he could have stayed at Clarence House especially as its said he was tired, im sure it's not too shabby or even at Buckingham Palace, I mean who is even living there now ? Harry could have then stayed with him overnight at least and had breakfast together.

That was clearly what his plan was and transport booked.

the question is not why did Charles not change his plans to see Harry,it is why did Harry not choose to see his father on his fathers terms and go to Norfolk if required. It is not like Harry is employed or an elderly sick man. He’s an unemployed multi millionaire who could easily have got himself to Norfolk if he Really wished time with his father, and not some publicity stunt in to benefit him.

Lockupyourbiscuits · 07/02/2024 11:19

when Is his Invictus gig in Canada?

  • he won’t miss that - it’s worth a lot of money - obviously he’s milked it for the documentary but it’s his only source of positive publicity - I don’t think that well has run dry yet
thingscanonlygetworse · 07/02/2024 11:20

At the end of the day, Harry is KC son and he loves him. I'm sure KC appreciated his son coming to see him.

MissRheingold · 07/02/2024 11:21

45 minutes -

44 minutes - Harry - me, me, me, Meghan said, Meghan told me, whinge, whinge, moan, moan, whine, me, me, me.

30 seconds - Charles - I'm not too bad, thanks son.

30 seconds - awkward silence. Harry stomps off.

I’m sure he did too. It’s just a shame that it seems to have been another sort of half arsed and rushed visit. Like the Coronation. I appreciate that Harry wanted to get back to see Archie on his birthday, but surely Harry could have arranged to come over a bit earlier and spend a bit of time with his father 🤷‍♀️. I hope he is staying here for a while this time and gets to see his father again. Otherwise, as has been said, it would surely have been better to plan the visit before rushing over. It’s not like it’s a 5 minute jaunt to get here

I’m sure he’d have appreciated a visit over the last couple of years, for a visit not to be leaked to the press from end ti end, for a visit to be done at not such a sensitive time ie in line with the announcement, and to be done more discreetly much more than he appreciated this media play.

Janetime · 07/02/2024 11:29

I suspect Harry is already on his way home. Rumour is he stayed at a hotel last night, so I suspect it’s a Heathrow one. So he could make his escape now the public habe seen him come rushing to his ailing fathers aid, and he will have used the opp to make global headlines.

thingscanonlygetworse · 07/02/2024 11:29

Maybe Harry wanted to visit KC on neutral ground as he knows his actions have made him persona non gratis with the entire family. This short visit may actually be his best bet, in the circumstance.

I think it makes sense that the first visit after a while may have always been planned as a short one.

Bowbobobo · 07/02/2024 11:48

Who cares?

Ohnoooooooo · 07/02/2024 12:01

I'm sorry but this smacks of Harry trying to be seen to do the right thing.

C1N1C · 07/02/2024 12:07

Piers made an amusing point... (please forgive my language)

If Charles croaks it, and by sheer bad luck something happens to William, for probably another eight years, we could have Harry and Megan as regent.

Effectively eight years of queen Meghan!

Let that sink in...

EdgarsTale · 07/02/2024 12:08

Everything Harry does seems impulsive and self serving There was no need to make such a dramatic journey. It obviously wasn’t the best time for KC, but Harry just thinks about Harry & what looks best for him. He still gets it wrong every time though. It’s quite amusing to watch, but I feel sorry for KC.

Wouldn’t Kate be regent instead of Harry and Megan?

diddl · 07/02/2024 12:14

How would the "regent" from California?

Mumsnut · 07/02/2024 12:14

Maybe Harry has arranged to see his KC as well as KC, given the amount of litigation still ongoing? And there are other friends and rellies to catch up with, as well as the prospect of another meeting with his dad later in the week.

He seems to me to be consciously behaving well - indeed impeccably - atm. Maybe he feels that to effect a rapprochement he will have to lay down a foundation? QEII's funeral, the Coronation, this visit, all have passed off without anything to for the papers to grab hold of.

Much more likely. And even is Harry WAS regent, Meghan wouldn't be queen.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 07/02/2024 12:18

Christ. What do some of you do when you are not bagging Harry? Succor snakes at your breasts?

doubleshotcappuccino · 07/02/2024 07:49

Good for Harry- he did absolutely the right thing. William needs to build a bridge - how can he be King if he can't be the bigger person in this scenario . Harry has suffered the same trauma as his brother and been hung out to dry by a step mother drip feeding the media . The only way through this is to come together.
So easy to call him dramatic when if he hadn't come he would have been criticised

He can be the king by being the eldest son of the eldest son.

He doesn't need to have any good personality traits or anything. Which is handy for them.

A website called Royal Central is telling me that if George needed a regent, it would be Harry because he’s next in succession but he doesn’t live in the UK anymore which is a requirement
