Does anyone know where Prince William is?

Errrrr….. where’s Willy? The press focus in the past 24 hours has been perplexing. King Charles’ diagnostic has been the top item, of course. But, bizarrely, the 2nd item has almost invariably been… Prince Harry this and that and the other. Prince HARRY??? What’s with the obsession with him? This should be about Prince WILLIAM! Yet from/about him, absolute silence. What on Earth is going on?

And please don’t start with the “he has to be at his wife’s bedside”. If Harry The Not Next In Line To The Throne And Not Counsellor of State And Can’t Stand In For The King etc etc can fly all the way from Montecito, then William The next King and He Who Should Stand In For King Charles can go visit his Dad in hospital (did he?), rush to be by his dad’s bedside (did he?), make announcements about which official duties he will take up, etc etc.

I know Prince Harry is the one the media are addicted to writing about and slagging off to drive clicks, but can they (and so many on these boards) perhaps take a break from their unhealthy obsession with H (&M) and keep the spotlight where most would expect it to be, on King Charles and, in particular, his successor Prince William?

Sometimes I do wonder if they are? Like announcing Camilla's week off when that just draws attention to the many weeks William takes off without announcing them - probably because it would get awkward "This week, exhausted by a day out to a pub for St David's day, Prince William will be taking a week to rest and recuperate"

I've always liked W and his little family and could see him stepping up seamlessly into his more senior role but it just doesn't seem to be happening. I don't know what goes on work-wise in private, but publicly W has been a big let down and is coming over as lazy and work shy. This would be the time for him to shine instead we hear about him taking time off to help care for the children and look after Catherine. I think he should be setting an example to all the families with similar issues who don't have staff and have to carry on working or lose their jobs. Pull your finger out W and get cracking!

Charles made a vide address to mark Commonwealth day. He's undergoing treatment for cancer. Kate can't make a video or take a photo although the operation she had supposedly has nothing to do with her face.
The back of a head, a highly pixelated blurry photo and her face superimposed on a photo is all that can be produced of this tax payer fully funded grown woman.

@WhatAreThey like everyone else in this board , you have no idea what Catherine’s surgery was for . You have no idea if it was straightforward or had complications. It was announced she would resume public duties around Easter . Can you and others not leave her alone ? For a board that is supposed to be supportive of mothers , the level of unwarranted vitriol towards the mother of 3 young children is truly shocking.

Another thread that aged so poorly.

Prince William was under intense pressure to speak out and defend himself from allegations of laziness, while his wife was dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

Instead he cracked on, and as it turns out, he was actually still working along with taking care of his young family and his wife, supporting his father, the King, but didn’t feel the need to react to the many vide accusations.

We know from another poster here that he visited a homeless shelter and spoke to every person there, was kind and attentive. Who knows what other work and good deeds he may have been doing. He didn’t feel the need to phone the press or leak photos. Because it’s not about him.

The conjecture and accusations are shocking. The glee at it all, coupled with the inability or unwillingness to say “wow, that really was off the mark.”

Someone wrote above that William does not like this life. I think him continuing to serve calmly and without acknowledgment or accolades proves the exact opposite. He has chosen a life of service and does so even in the face of extreme family crisis.

Harry called the press to take photos when he laid a wreath in a cemetery in another country. What a juxtaposition with what we are learning about William.

Just flicking through this thread and have noted that a few formerly prolific posters have disappeared!

We'll see next week when the schools are back who makes an appearance; but yes, some posters who were very keen to start threads about Workshy William and the like have gone vv quiet.
