Part 3 of a nice, unproblematic thread to discuss some of the fab outfits from the Duchess of Sussex, and some of the many great causes she (and Harry) and Archewell supports. h/t @queentim for the original threads.

I really liked this outfit and the way the skirt flowed as she walked - really good choice and quite pared back compared to some other people on the red carpet.

It is similar isn’t it? But it’s different. I don’t know any dress making terms but it has a waist and is gathered a bit across the tummy area. You can see some of it in an image in the article Taller Sally posted of the night. Meghan is turned sideways so we can see a bit more detail.

Her hair is perfect. The side part really suits her. A simple elegant look for the night but not overdressed.

Ok I found the private jet, (source: Daily Fail sorry) it is very elegant and l like the mono chrome design. I wonder when they will buy their own jet - like Serena.
Look at all that luggage for 3 days 😅😅
Will the vets from all over the world be flown private or is there only budget for them. Some vets could do with avoiding coach given their disabilities.

Anyways as for her wardrobe, next time they can have some special embroidered Invictus logos into their clothes. That way you have the glam and the logo too. Otherwise they look like pseudo royal touring around and promoting themselves (although I can understand them doing that since this the only real gig they have going on at the moment, and a showcase of wanting to be the half in half out Princes of Canada about one week a month tops)

The absence of Invictus clothing will always baffle me. They're there to promote the games. Why not throw on a cap or jacket, even for a brief photo op?

@CC49 but you see, real royals keep their distance. Never see the Duke of xx wearing a Wimbledon cap. This is by design and out of the textbook 😅😅 - Invictus comes behind.
The wardrobe is also carefully curated and nicely styled but for the wrong reasons

Re: her hair - she had been out all day with it out - her ends probably had started to revert. It’s a great idea to pop in a protective style like she has there - the side part suits her better than the centre on she normally goes for but I suppose that’s protective too.

I think that style of dress is a good choice for Meghan as she is very straight up and down and the shoulders are emphasised in that style detracting from that. Kate is also very slender and I think she goes for the more voluminous /fuller bottoms as she is in such formal situations as opposed to Meghan.

... not this time @CC49 😅 they have clearly chosen to keep the distance. It is part of the new rebranding ha. Let's see if he remains "ambassador" after next year is done. They are too expensive for the cause, as it transpired in Dusseldorf. And those clothes, someone needs to pay for them

Can I just say I absolutely love the Sentaler New Maxi Trench coat in ivory, $2290. I am in love with winter whites and this one's a dream.

Sadly it'll have to remain a dream - besides the price tag, just like Meghan I have too many coats!

I had a similar dress coat (not as expensive) in grey 4 dress sizes ago. Absolutely loved it and kept trying to find events to wear it - but alas I’m not fancy🤣so didn’t get enough wear out of it before then I grew horizontally 😂.
