Meghan, Duchess of Sussex spotted out and about, part 3

Part 3 of a nice, unproblematic thread to discuss some of the fab outfits from the Duchess of Sussex, and some of the many great causes she (and Harry) and Archewell supports. h/t @queentim for the original threads.

I really liked this outfit and the way the skirt flowed as she walked - really good choice and quite pared back compared to some other people on the red carpet.

That's a lovely dress, and I love love love the colour of it.

I am really not a fan of strapless of any sort, but one shoulder dresses to me are very sexy, and she has the figure to do that dress justice!

I love one shoulder dresses and tops too I do think they are more sexy it's just a hint of skin

Yes, but not those cold shoulder tops and dresses. Personally I think they're yuk! When the fashion came in and stayed in far too long I avoided it because I disliked them from day one!

I had a beautiful dress when I was younger... it was black, high neck and completely cut away so my shoulders and part of my chest were bare. I bought it for a v posh do. Sigh... no good now, even strapless bras are out the question.

Yes, I'd like to see it full length. I'm not keen on the eyebrows, but that's what's fashionable. The jewellery - again - looks gorgeous. I prefer the side parting.

Nice!

Does Meghan kind of look like Aishwarya Rai in this photo?? Maybe from this angle?

Both great glamorous beauties…

Oh yeah those cold shoulder ones are hard to pull off.

Those halter neck one that you described can look good though, depends on how they cut it and how much of the shoulders it exposes.

I’m not sure it was the best decision going for Calvin klein/hermes coats to a charity event when most people are wearing invictus branded clothing. Like the sorrel boots, which looked great (I loved all the boots actually), I think she’d have been better wearing good quality technical/outdoor clothing brand (maybe a Canadian brand) to give an image of being there with a job to do rather than making it a fashion parade.

Such a shame we don’t have any full length pictures of Meghan in this dress - she is quite partial to green and off shoulder.

Wow.

Face card never declines! She looks lovely

I'm a fan of this olive green shade. And the dress is gorgeous on the website

Rather that fashion parade is more the pseudo royal parade. She needs to look immaculate - like other working royals we know ha. So no oversized / badly shaped fleeces for her M'dam

eye brows like that seem to be a thing now. don't like this fashion,( i do have eye brow envy though, mine are invisible due to over plucking when that was the thing)

I had aunts that had almost no eyebrows at all because the fashion in their day was for pencil drawn lines and they had plucked so much and for so long the ended up with nothing, in my day there was no particular eyebrow fashion except they had to be neater and tidier than mine were naturally so I plucked for years and eventually they stopped growing and I was happy with the shape and density and THEN....I got old and the eyebrows turned into curly wire and sprouted in all directions. Just not fair is it? Chemo did sort that out in the end but I wouldn't recommend it All totally off topic but at least it isn't mean to anyone!

Please stop attacking Rousette. It is tedious when people consistently do it. Engage with ideas - don’t attack the person. She is recognisable because she has kept the same username for years and has not name changed. There are several posters
on this board who frequently name change and are easily recognisable to many of us by their language and posting styles.

I will say H&M have been consistent in their message about online safety.

Indeed @Roussette , they are consistent, and very well placed to attempt to spur action on this issue. Not only are they possibly the two most targeted individuals on the planet for online hate (though mostly in the UK and in the Murdoch/right wing billionaire press), now even their children are gradually being targeted.

I can totally understand M&H fearing like hell for Archie and Lilibet's mental health (and their physical safety) as they grow up given the unhinged hatred raging around the entire family, at least in some quarters.

One sometimes wonders what all those spewing online hatred against this family, including on here, would do if they came face to face with them...

This is all very well but surely even the most ardent paid or unpaid fans must find the concerted and sickening attacks on other members of the royal family from the ‘Sussex Squad’ deeply concerning.
Why don’t H and M stop their fans from doing this?
The stuff these fans say on Twitter is truly disturbing and it’s not on when Kate and Charles are so ill

pipsfromthefuture · 17/02/2024 16:43

@GreekDogRescue you might have missed @LilyMumsnet previous post a couple pages back, which I'll post here

LilyMumsnet · 14/02/2024 19:58

Hi folks

Please can we be careful not to derail the thread? Goading other posters isn't in the spirit of civil discussion. We'll be making some deletions now and would ask you to bear this in mind when posting.

I amended this to show you just how unrealistic you are. There are lots of attacks out there about the Sussexes on the internet - they are concerted, unrelenting, sickening and dangerous. You however do not hold the Royal Family to the same standard you expect of H&M when it comes to stopping their fans.

I suspect you are being deliberately disingenuous.

forgive me for I am not a great royalist and find this gushing over this pampered divisive pair very peculiar.

However unlike you I am not reporting or trying to ban those who merely have a different opinion.

The Sussex Squad are a well organised group who say slanderous and sickening things online. Thank goodness the RF have not stooped to this level. It is always best to take the high ground.

skullbabe · 17/02/2024 17:21

The purpose of this thread is the styles and looks of Meghan. It is very odd that you have come to this thread to discuss your dislike
of her and her husband. There are countless threads to allow you to do that. I did not report you but I responded to your deleted post. You did not post a different opinion. You attacked another poster. You don’t get to rewrite what happened to fit into this narrative you have.

My daughter wanted her hair out last weekend for the last week of school and I just about managed to get it like Meghan’s here- took me hours though. Back to braids after half term 🤣.

Wow, no mean feat!

I am sure both looked absolutely as gorgeous irl as they do on this stunning pic of Meghan!

AliceOlive · 17/02/2024 17:30

I think I mentioned before that I ordered a CK wrap coat trying to match MM’s style in one of her beautiful coats. It came and was a huge disappointment. I hate the fabric (it’s a wool blend which clearly was a mistake) and it’s HUGE despite me to following the sizing guidelines. I’m returning it to the nearby outlet and will keep looking.

AliceOlive · 17/02/2024 17:31

So I’m a big fan of M’s coats and think she should wear a new one every day if she likes. Although I didn’t like one she wore at whistler - reminds me of a coat my mom wears. Looks great on Mom but she’s 83.

pipsfromthefuture · 17/02/2024 17:32

Well said skullbabe

Re: Meghan's hair, it's so funny when she gives it a reddish tint. Imagine she is just tired of being the only non-redhead in the household😂

Imagine Harry: "Ok what's for dinner. Only gingers get a vote!"

Meghan: hahaha "watch this"
