I hope she will get better soon

Overtheatlantic · 17/01/2024 14:24

It’s only just being reported

upwardsonwards · 17/01/2024 14:24

Wow 10-14 days in hospital. That sounds serious. I hope she is ok.

MrsLeonFarrell · 17/01/2024 14:24

It's literally breaking news!

WashedUpHasBeen · 17/01/2024 14:24

yes, I was thinking hysterectomy but 2 weeks is a long time to be in hospital😟

KarenNotAKaren · 17/01/2024 14:25

I hope she recovers speedily and that the ghouls don’t start to creepily debate on what’s wrong with her.

dressedforcomfort · 17/01/2024 14:25

My immediate thought was Hysterectomy. 10 to 14 days is a long time to be in hospital following surgery....

CrushingOnRubies · 17/01/2024 14:25

Wishing her a speedy recovery. Sounds serious.

10-14 days in hospital after surgery is a long stint for someone of her age and support back at home I would have thought.

yes, I was thinking hysterectomy but 2 weeks is a long time to be in hospital😟

Off work until Easter so 3 months? I think you are right.

Wishing her a speedily recovery

I’d imagine the royals get better treatment than the rest of us. No in and out 24hrs after a hysterectomy (if that’s what she’s had done). Though she’s young for a hysterectomy……maybe it’s appendix but not returning to royal duties till Easter suggests something more than appendix.

WolfFoxHare · 17/01/2024 14:26

I hope she’s ok and recovers quickly. Mustn’t be fun for the entire family, especially the children. My mum had five days in hospital when I was around Charlotte’s age and I missed her so much.

JSMill · 17/01/2024 14:27

10 to 14 days seems a long time, even if you have the luxury to be in a private hospital where they won't kick you out asap. Hope it's nothing serious.

derxa · 17/01/2024 14:27

Hope she recovers well.

TurquoiseDress · 17/01/2024 14:27

Breaking news just a few minutes ago

At the end of the day, she's a women with three young children at home, wishing her well for a full and uneventful recovery!

WashedUpHasBeen · 17/01/2024 14:28

I had a hysterectomy at 38, was kept in for 5 days😂

rainbowbee · 17/01/2024 14:28

My mother had fibroids and consequent hysterectomy at that age and was in private hospital for a week. Hopefully the recovery goes easy for her and the press leave her alone.

FlowerTink · 17/01/2024 14:29

Another one hoping her recovery goes well

bobomomo · 17/01/2024 14:29

Seems a very long time in hospital, even with open heart surgery you get kicked out sooner. I'm guessing it's not a straightforward procedure.

fuckmyuteruslining · 17/01/2024 14:30

Given that the palace described the Queen's terminal cancer as periodic mobility problems I don't find their use of 'routine' here very reassuring. Apparently healthy 42 year olds don't usually need 10 days in hospital for their recovery for minor issues. It maybe elective but it's not minor.

LaMarschallin · 17/01/2024 14:31

CormorantStrikesBack

I'm sure that's true.
Also, the amount of time she's likely to be in may have been exaggerated so that when (hopefully) she's out sooner, it will seem better than expected.
And if she needs up to 10-14 days (hopefully not) nobody will be surprised.

KarenNotAKaren · 17/01/2024 14:31

FFS stop spreading misinformation about the medical conditions of women you don’t know! It’s pathetic and creepy!

BobnLen · 17/01/2024 14:31

It doesn't sound very minor but we have to remember it's not the same as us going in for an op with the timescale, hope she recovers well.

My immediate thought was Hysterectomy. 10 to 14 days is a long time to be in hospital following surgery....

To loosely compare, when Queen Camilla had her hysterectomy she was an inpatient for 4 days.

NewYear24 · 17/01/2024 14:32

I am wishing her a speedy recovery.

I am wishing her a speedy recovery.

I’m sure she’s reading here and will be very grateful 🙄
