I hope she recovers speedily and that the ghouls don’t start to creepily debate on what’s wrong with her.

Yes those ghouls...can't imagine the point of this thread if it wasn't to debate what's wrong with her.

Kendodd · 17/01/2024 15:00

I hope she's well and all that and not in pain.

But 14 nights in a lovely private hospital sounds lovely. Especially
if you've got three kids I hope she enjoys it 😂

Sounds like hell to me. A private hospital is still a hospital.... Back in my own bed with my Butler to wait on me.... maybe Wills could buggar off with the kids to Balmoral or something for a couple of weeks though 🤣

FrancisSeaton · 17/01/2024 15:04

Who knows she could have diverticulitis and have to go in for a planned bowel resection- it's quite common

Zanatdy · 17/01/2024 15:05

I had a whipple (for non cancerous reason) which was was 2 wks guide to be in for, I was actually in for 3. So it’s definitely something major, but her personal info and we won’t find out

MillicentRogers · 17/01/2024 15:05

Boob job and tummy tuck.

LardyCakeAgain · 17/01/2024 15:05

KarenNotAKaren · 17/01/2024 14:39

Nope.

if she was pregnant I imagine they’d announce it ‘early’ like they have with her other pregnancies.

Unless it was ectopic? Whatever it is, she has a great chance of being fine, she's incredibly fit and getting the best care. I doubt it was an emergency though given she's in private, it would be nhs a&e otherwise surely?

Mylovelygreendress · 17/01/2024 14:37

I do hope she recovers quickly and that there are no snarky comments .
It does seem a long time to be in hospital . I was only in for 4 days after cancer surgery !

I was in for two weeks after cancer surgery. A bowel resection. Another three months recovery after that at home. It was very major surgery. Hopefully this is not what’s happening here. Maybe they are saying longer so she can leave earlier in private.

Yes exactly this!!! Assuming the reason is not sinister, it sounds like a fantastic, well-deserved break. Probably the longest she'd had since giving birth to George. DM has already written "It is understood not to be cancerous." in the first paragraph of their article, which means they must have their sources somewhere. They won't dare to publish something like that out of thin air, or were instructed to do so in order to quell gossip.

I think it's impossible not to let people speculate, especially as she's high profile and appears radiant and healthy in all recent appearances. I think it could well be cosmetic (have friends in the same age range who did that same after 3-4 kids) or bowel related (unkind to speculate but definitely more common than getting a total hysterectomy at 42).

Zanatdy · 17/01/2024 15:07

Also I had an appendix rupture and gangrenous and was only 5 days. It won’t be hysterectomy either as most out sane day, certainly not 10-14

ManateeFair · 17/01/2024 15:08

I have no interest in the royal family but it's fucking weird that there are people on this thread excitedly speculating over which bit of her abdomen the surgeons have been fiddling with. Are you sitting here Googling which surgeries have a 10-14 day recovery period or something, you mad ghouls? Stop being weird about some posh woman's internal organs, ffs, you sound like a bunch of stalkers.

Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh

Emotional

Wheresthebeach · 17/01/2024 15:09

What is clearly pretty major surgery, with a long hospital stay, being described as a great break??? Jesus.

Citrusandginger · 17/01/2024 15:10

WashedUpHasBeen · 17/01/2024 14:54

could just as easily be a bowel resection or something

That would make sense.

neighboursareselling · 17/01/2024 15:10

purplerainbows88 · 17/01/2024 14:39

Could be cosmetic - after 3 kids who would blame her!

A mummy makeover?😶

Newchapterbeckons · 17/01/2024 15:10

I find it odd they put a timescale knowing people would consider that a very long time. I think it’s likely to cause concern. There was no need for it - planned surgery would have been sufficient.

Why would her children worry about a routine operation. I know dc worry about their parents in any hospital setting but I think the statement is likely to create more speculation and questions not less. Surely they would have just alluded to a hysterectomy.

Tinkerbyebye · 17/01/2024 15:10

Mothermummymum · 17/01/2024 15:00

My opinion is that she has probably entered rehab for an eating disorder that it’s clear for the world to see she has.
No shame in rehab and no shame in wanting to cover it up if that’s your choice.

Rubbish. You would need to be in rehab far longer that 10-14 days

and no I dont believe she has a ED

Cancermummy · 17/01/2024 15:10

I'll be in hospital next month for abdominal surgery and am also looking at being in for 10 - 14 days so not unheard of even for those who aren't royalty.

Mothermummymum · 17/01/2024 15:10

She is beautiful and I am a total royalist.
Why would thinking someone has an eating disorder mean I am jealous? This makes no sense.

Menomeno · 17/01/2024 15:11

I agree it doesn’t sound like a hysterectomy. I was discharged home two hours after they brought me back up from theatre (though it was during lockdown and they didn’t want people in hospitals). It sounds like something more serious. I hope she’s okay and recovers quickly.

FlatWhiteExtraHot · 17/01/2024 15:11

ShamedBySiri · 17/01/2024 15:04

What an unnecessary and unpleasant post @FlatWhiteExtraHot

She's a normally fit and healthy young woman and personally I feel very concerned for her. 10-14 days in hospital sounds like something very major that needs monitoring in hospital - something like a straightforward hysterectomy she could and undoubtedly would go home and have private nurses caring for her.

I wish her well and hope she makes a good recovery.

Oh for god’s sake, enough with the forelock tugging.

When the late Queen was ill, it was obviously necessary to make a statement as she was usually out and about and her absence from public engagements would have been obvious. The prince and princess of Wales are not exactly known for their work ethic, so I doubt anyone would have missed them.

I had a hernia repair and with young children at home it was a lovely break where I could nap, read a book and be bought biscuits and tea.

I was also high as a kite 🤣

Comedycook · 17/01/2024 15:11

Are you quite mad? You honestly think even in an emergency they head off to the local casualty department?

Gobolina · 17/01/2024 15:11

WashedUpHasBeen · 17/01/2024 14:24

yes, I was thinking hysterectomy but 2 weeks is a long time to be in hospital😟

Hysterectomy was my first thought, re the 14 days in hospital, she'll get better care than the rest of us so she won't be chucked out as soon as the last stitch is in.
