I thought it was interesting. I don’t listen to podcasts generally. I couldn’t see the longevity in the theme, though and it was hard to see Meghan (beautiful, expensively educated in private schools, famous, rich, married to a prince) as a compelling person to explore these themes. She has a great voice, crisp and clear.

I will have to have a listen. There are so many good podcasts.

Do you mean the "full commitment to achieving a full and lasting peace"

Because if so, that's what was said to him noy by him

'You have not been forgotten,' Prince William tells Palestinians | Palestinian territories | The Guardian

Homewards has only just started, so bit early to see results - though I was wondering when we might get a sitrep. Anyone know?

Yes he said that quite a while ago. He is the future King surely he has all the contacts to get it sorted.

Well ok they've failed. Not much left to talk about them then. We can now concentrate on William's pledges to sort out the middle East conflict and eradicate the UK's homeless crisis.

Endgame is the theme of this thread, thanks.

Trying to sort out the Middle East and attempting to end homelessness are at least positive ambitions; as opposed to whinging about how everyone has it in for you, starting with your family.

By that token, with all the contacts H&M and OS allegedly have, then we will see them thrive shortly.

Hurrah.

Yes, all us DM-deluded haterz will be proved wrong

parksandrecs · 10/12/2023 20:29

It seems the sugar rush is over, what comes up comes down.

Though I suspect I speak too soon!

He isn't trying to sort out the Middle East.

As @Rockybooboo just confirmed, the comment that is widely misattributed as something that he said, is actually something that was said to him (during State Visit in 2018)

This is why you only hear about it occasionally - because it's not true, just a myth that persists

Homewards OTOH is something to which he has given considerable backing, and he must know that people will be watching out for progress.

What is the sugar rush meant to mean?

Please can you explain what this means. It's the second time you've posted the plant thing?

Children get very over excited and show all sorts of bravado when they have had too many sweets. It usually ends in tears

And what is the little joke between you and Arcane About.

parksandrecs · 10/12/2023 20:49

Maybe Harry has got a little over excited with his accusations?!

parksandrecs · 10/12/2023 20:51

But, as I said, I am no doubt speaking too soon...

Getting things back on track. I thought this was an interesting take on the agenda underlying Endgame. I have felt that the original racism accusation in Oprah did damage to race relations in the UK (as part and parcel of a wider movement with its basis in Marxism a la BLM), and the destablising and divisive effect on society ultimately makes us weaker and more vulnerable.

A Montecito Yankee in King Charles’ court

A game-altering Dutch translation of Scobie’s “Endgame” is rocking the royal family at just a very perilous moment for world affairs.

@Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar brilliant article! We are all sick to death of the Monticito pair and their childish games. This awful book was released around the time Charles made the most important speech of his life in an arena where countries are at least trying to save the bloody planet, and OS releases a book talking about the queens underwear and williams 'affair'. And of course the Dutch fiasco.

Now he's proven yet again he lied because the book they got did have the names in. The names given to him by Meghan in the letters from Charles.

ArcaneWireless · 10/12/2023 21:56

Michty me OP. That article doesn’t mince words.

Wow that is one scary read. If there is racism within any organisation it should be brought to the public's attention. If it's destabilising to the country that's the fault of the abuser not the victim. As for mentioning the tower, it's a really scary prospect that people would be threatened with punishment for criticising the Royal family whether you were born into it or not. It's usually the right wing who stand up for free speech!

I would have thought our government the past few years have caused us to be more weak and vulnerable.

@Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar thank you for the link, quite interesting even if it does err on the side of hyperbole in parts.

PS (I only now get your full username 😀, good one)

ArcaneWireless · 10/12/2023 22:12

There are plenty of points in that article which could be up for debate.

I would have to draw the line at alluding to them as modern day Jacobites.

They had honour.

You're sick to death of them so why don't you ignore them. The press headlines are all about 'I'm a Celebrity' and 'Strictly'. I'm not interested so i.just scroll past them.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 10/12/2023 22:16

@themessygarden hope I haven't given you an ear worm!

I do think it is a little hyperbolic, but the essentials are true, imo. The World is going through a massive shift, something we seems to do every 100 years or so. Any action, no matter how puerile, done in the right conditions and aimed at the head of a major power can have a disproportionate knock on effect.
