Maybe he wants to hang out with different peoole?

I not sure that’s true, given he’s still happily playing polo and flying around the world to go so. (And Meghan has at least decided that’s not so bad, dubbing herself a “pwife”).

Rockybooboo · 10/12/2023 14:31

I can't imagine.anything worse than hanging out with the horsey and rugby sets. Why would anyone want that? Those sort of people would have not welcomed Meghan.

Prince Harry's whole life has been a commodity and on public display. Why shouldn't he talk about it?

Well obviously it's not compulsory - these are the sets that Mike and Zara merch their products to not ones I was suggesting for the Sussexes. Harry and Meghan would have had their pick of the wealthy sets if they had played their cards right. Harry initially (at least) seemed keen on the Polo set in LA.

The constant griping and moaning if off-putting to many. I think they would have fared better if they had just done Oprah and then shut up and moved on to their new freedom instead of being stuck in the past and constantly attempting petty revenge for perceived slight

I think the 'Hollywood set' are actors with actual talent?

As opposed to The Royal family who's only talent was being born.

rosyglowcondition · 10/12/2023 14:53

What has the RF got to do with Hollywood?

CousinGreg55 · 10/12/2023 14:53

I dont think they looked into the future at all. All these digs/gossip/jealously aimed at William and Kate was so short sighted. William will never forgive Harry and I don't blame him for that. W will be King in 5/10/20 years holding the purse strings.

He likes playing polo. He can do that but still hang out with other people when.he's back home.

You brought them up.

The dogs at Kate are about racism aren't they. Surely that needs to talked about. Who is jealous of Kate?

Gone a bit Audrey.

@Rockybooboo I think you are confusing me with someone else. I was responding to someone else and you brought up the RF

I haven't got a clue what that means. Please explain.

It's a play on a scene/trope from Little Shop of Horrors (the famous musical)

I was referring to Harry and Meghan and what their preferred 'set' might be as an alternative to the horsey and Rugby set, , I didn't mention the Royal Family.

You appear to be a bit confused.

The groping and moaning might bore some people but the Royal family isn't just a family but part of the establishment so some of us want to hear the negative stuff as Well as the positive.

I don't know who you are so that meaningless to me.

Edited

OK @Rockybooboo , you don’t know @ArcaneWireless and nor do I, but surely you get the gist of what she’s saying?

Im into horses but not rugby. Am I maybe not an entire person?

Rockybooboo · 10/12/2023 14:41

I'm aware that every person has the same interests as me but I'm responding to a poster who thinks that this would be the ultimate dream.

Yes, but you said “why would anyone want that?” as if it was not possible that other people would have different interests 🤷‍♀️

ArcaneWireless · 10/12/2023 15:20

The groping and moaning?

A different concept all together. ‘A’ list might mean something quite different there I think…

AliceOlive · 10/12/2023 15:22

Rockybooboo · 10/12/2023 14:56

Not really. There are a slew of insults unrelated to that.

And why do we keep calling it racism when Harry said it wasn’t, and the leaked letter details from Omid admit there was nothing malicious within the conversations?

Do you think expressing “concern” about a potential child’s skin tone is racist? I sure as shit do. Not simple bias, full on racist.

AliceOlive · 10/12/2023 15:24

And it does need to be talked about. But without the person that heard the conversation sharing what exactly they heard and from whom, that’s impossible. So it doesn’t feel like the purpose of leaking this was a genuine desire to achieve anything productive.

Yeah groping and moaning does sound like we're discussing Prince Andrew. Sorry about that.

ArcaneWireless · 10/12/2023 15:31

But you weren’t discussing Prince Andrew.

You still appear to be a bit confused.

Sorry about that.

Huh?

JenniferJupiterVenusandMars · 10/12/2023 15:36

@LeggyLegsEleven I dread to think what their worst lives would look like if I see lots of people online talking about them ‘living their best lives’ now
🫣

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 10/12/2023 15:48

We have no idea what was said in those conversations and who they were between. We have no idea what the "comments" were or what the "concerns" were, in particular the latter. All we have is Oprah Winfrey gasping dramatically, and Meghan Markle inviting her to believe there was racist intent in conversations she was not a party to happening in tandem with her assertion that the RF were denying Archie a title and security - claims that are lies. All we know is that Prince Harry - who had at least one of the conversations - does not characterise it as a racist one. All we know is that letters have been exchanged (thanks to the Sussex camp leaking this to their preferred newspaper choice, the Telegraph). We do not know what the contents of those letters are in their exact form, only an interpretation third hand by Omid Scobie.

I am a woman of colour, who grew up being treated in all sorts of ways that would give MM (who had never been treated like a black woman by her own account until entering the RF) a fucking heart attack. I really despise the casual and cavalier accusations of racism she has thrown at people she knows will not be answering back. I despise her husband, a proven racist who claims the right to lecture the world on his "enlightenment" to critical race theories; theories that are meaningless and decisive outside of academic circles and on the make diversity trainers (many of whom are white, and quite frankly sound pretty racist themselves).

I can't count the number of people of colour who have stated categorically that discussions of a babies colouring, be it hair, eyes or skin, is completely normal. The same goes for mixed race couples. I'm several shades darker than MM, my DH has the same colouring as Harry. We talked about it with great curiosity and excitement on both sides of our families.

Harry, in his Stephen Colbert interview, said the only negative thing I have heard from any member of the RF about his children's colouring. He said he was worried his ginger genes would not be able to "stand up" to Meghan's genes. That sounds like a micro aggression to me - that's what CRT would call it, isn't it? Implying that her genes are aggressive and dominating. He then expressed relief that his genes prevailed. Why would that give him relief? Wouldn't he want his children to take after his beautiful wife?

Actually, I tell a lie, there was a further incident of members of the RF talking about the Sussex children's colouring. That would be Harry and Meghan in their documentary. A single throw away comment about Archie taking after Meghan, then an adulatory discussion about Lili looking like Diana, with her "blue, blue, blue eyes". Again, no celebratory discussion of Meghan's heritage, or joy that very much alive and hands on Granny Doria can see her pretty features in her grandson or grand daughter. Another incident that I - as a person of colour - might categorise as a micro aggression.

As for Catherine, Charles, Camilla or any other member of the RF. Nobody knows, because it has never been spoken of first hand in any substantial way that can lead anyone to make an informed opinion. All we have is gossip and innuendo.
