' ... already popping. With Meghan already ...' [my underlining]

That's what really grated on me. It's very bad style.
If you're going to pay for a book, I would have thought you could expect good style and content.

Some of the volumes currently outselling Endgame on Amazon (Endgame sits at #215):

#28 Things To Do While You Poo On The Loo.

#30 Ways To Tell Employees They're Stupid.

#42 Crap I'll Forget It Unless I Write It Down.

#44 The Ultimate Activity Book For Intelligent Men.

#78 The Baddies.

#84 Things I Can't Say Out Loud In Meetings.

#87 My Book Of Shit I Can't Remember.

For a second I thought those were chapter titles from Endgame.

they literally don’t seem to give a crap and just say what they please at the time. It’s incredibly odd behaviour if you think about it.

Ironic really, since their work with the Aspen Institute is all about stopping disinformation on social media.

And yet, ITV had to edit the Oprah interview when they showed it, because:

Lawyers for Associated Newspapers, owner of the Daily Mail and MailOnline, have written to Viacom CBS calling for a ‘seriously inaccurate and misleading’ montage of British newspapers to be removed from the Oprah interview programme.
The company has criticised the CBS show for ‘deliberate distortion and doctoring’ of newspaper headlines to support its claims about racist UK press coverage.
ITV later edited their version of the show when it was broadcast in the UK due to the misleading headlines.

Not to mention all the misleading footage shown in he Netflix doc.

I know right, they are so hot on this shit when others do it, but they do it the most. I find it really odd behaviour.

Generally if we as humans, are caught out in a lie, we are embarrassed by it, they just crack right on. Twisting things or outright lying to fit their narrative. With no apparent shame.

they obviously also lie and brief the media,,we are doing x , y or z, Christ remember the modelling for Chanel or whoever, and the company was like eh what now. It’s all so easily disproven too. The high speed pap chase fiasco, would have been so embarassing for most people , Thats what’s weird about it. They tell really big whoppers. Time and time again, and they just shrug and move on. And do it again.

Something that will probably never require anything more than five place settings?

Some of the volumes currently outselling Endgame on Amazon (Endgame sits at #215):

Intended as stocking fillers or Secret Santas for blokes, I suppose. There might even be some blokes who are actually pleased to get them. But seems appropriate company for Scobie, with the amount of crap and shit in there.

What is a family breakfast? 😂

In my house the youngest gets chucked a cereal bar on the way out the door, and the rest of us grab a coffee if we can be arsed.

I presume that's exactly what Meghan does.

ArcaneWireless · 07/12/2023 16:06

Well said @Iwantcakeeveryday and I want to show my support and total agreement on what you have said.

Some of the stuff written on these endless threads is pure malice and nastiness and comes from a place of ignorance, misleading and made up negative theories.

I don't blame you jumping in with a post defending those two little children because to suggest they are not part of a loving caring family is really quite disgusting.
Luckily, there are plenty of us who feel the same as you. These threads are nothing to do with the Omid Scobie book, there's no news on that now. They are just a vehicle to come up with new insults and far reaching trashing of a couple of human beings. Oh.. and their poor children Hmm

good posts. so glad at last someone has stepped into this echo chamber and spoken out. well done

I just remembered. It's waffles.

'Breakfast now, Meg makes up a beautiful organic mix. In the waffle maker, flip it, out it comes. He loves it. And now I have waffles for breakfast."

I thought that the Royals gave each other cheap joke gifts?

.... unless "waffle" was the joke!

It reads like a primary school writing exercise with the objective of demonstrating that you know what an adjective is and how to use it.

"As the morning sun rises over Santa Barbara, bathing the steep Santa Ynez Mountains, and the Pacific Ocean sparkles with California’s trademark glow, the sprawling Sussex compound in the wealthy enclave of Montecito is already popping. With Meghan already preparing a family breakfast in the kitchen, Prince Harry is busy getting the couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, ready for nursery school and toddler playgroup, respectively."

Which book is that?

LadyWhineglass · 07/12/2023 16:18

It was either a waffle iron or a flannel tower.

😁😁😁

Surely M produces fresh-squeezed juice made with organically grown oranges from the sun-bathed orange groves which overlook the deep blue ocean close to their extensive Californian home?

Scoobydoobywho · 07/12/2023 16:21

As bad as this is written how does Scobie know what Harry and Meghans morning routine is. Was it mentioned in "Spare" or is this someone from the Sussexes side talking to Scobie?

Omid Scobie Endgame PART 4
LaMarschallin · 07/12/2023 16:38

I wondered if John Crace would do one of his DRs; it would have been difficult to resist, I suppose Smile

I'm now wondering if things can "sparkle" and "glow" at the same time:

and the Pacific Ocean sparkles with California’s trademark glow,

Two quite different effects, imo.

You are, of course, right.

If you subsitute ‘beneath’ with the ‘with’ it may work?
