BTW, can anyone explain why he's Harper's Royal reporter when he only seems to have access to or report on Harry and Meghan? It's a bit strange.

He's such a little bitch isn't he. She's cold if she doesn't like someone well so what! better than being a grinning fraud. She's allegedly had elocution lessons? Again if she has so what? and tbh scobie look at yourself in thr mirror before judging others.

Another quote from the Sunday Times interview by Omid. The book is clearly being used as a broadside against Kate, William and Camilla.

Anyway, I vividly remember pictures and videos of Kate abseiling, snorkelling, driving a tank, sailing, mountain biking, playing tennis, trying out rugby, volleyball, cricket, golf and archery, running races, spin classes and wheelchair rugby (that’s just a list of things I remember, she’s done more), taking photos of Holocaust for the National Portrait Museum, playing the piano in public to accompany a singer, releasing pencil artworks she has personally drawn, as well as using her convening power to bring people together on projects like the recent Symposium on Early childhood development, and delivering public speeches (despite us being told that she is not at all a confident public speaker) as well as doing the more usual meet and greet on standard fare Royal visits to charities and representing the UK on State visits and overseas trips….plus also being a mother to three young children.

This one’s across as pure spite from Omid Scobie. Sure, Kate is not Hillary Clinton. But very few women are. It’s not like the standard is “superwoman or abject failure”.

None of the things I mentioned above are mere “grinning photo ops” - they show someone who is willing to throw herself into something that won’t necessarily be photogenic and in some cases requires physical or mental courage. I have always thought she is remarkably keen to get involved in things.

I also wouldn’t blame Kate for not speaking in the car. Anything she said would’ve been taken down and used against her.

i am sure the Middletons and RF will surround Catherine with love and support but they must be so angry.

Agree . Also , HM had just died . W and C were sad so why is it all about Meghan’s feelings ? Why was the day HM died all about Harry ?
I didn’t find out my DM had died until after my DB , my Aunts and some neighbours. I couldn’t be contacted . It was just one of those things.

Those are very close connections. Lainey was one of the first to disclose some of the stories about Catherine not being 'nice' to Meghan, she ended up having to put some distance and denials between her stories and her sources, as they were quickly linked back to Meghan as the source.

Lainey and Omids' hate for William and Catherine, Catherine in particular, and their adulation of Meghan and Harry is so transparent that you know they have to be getting their information from M&H.

I actually think it’s OS himself and not MM who is driving the spite. He seems to have it in for Kate in a way that’s really not healthy. I wonder if, in the early days of his Royal “reporting”, he tried to get in with the Waleses but they saw through him and he can’t get over the snub. Because his obvious hatred of Kate feels personal and way beyond simply documenting MM and PH’s feelings towards her and William. It feels like OS really wants them to suffer and I honestly don’t believe PH at least, who once adored Kate, is entirely condoning and fuelling it. Nor do I think MM seriously cares or wants to destroy Kate in the way OS is gunning for her. His vitriol is quite alarming.

He does seem to have an axe to grind. Obviously not 'in' with the right people amd this is his way, like Harry, of getting revenge

This incident I have often thought would have played into the criticisms (from Omid and Harry) that Kate was guarded towards Meghan.

Firstly, it makes good sense for people with as high a public profile as William and Kate to be guarded when introduced to new people who are coming straight into the inner circle as Harry’s new girlfriend would be. And secondly, shortly after Meghan came onto the scene a story about Kate being a snob turned up in a Toronto gossip blog that linked directly back to Meghan. It’s not exactly going to foster intimacy if you suspect the new person in your circle is passing on stories to a gossip writer (and, as we have seen, William and Kate were perfectly right to keep their distance here).

I’m not talking about Endgame’s content - which they clearly briefed him on - but what he’s now saying in interviews. The comment about Kate being no good for anything but grinning is what he said to the Sunday Times to promote the book. It’s like he’s relishing the spite.

I suspect that’s what PH and MM now want to do and wish they could move on, but they’ve are now intrinsically linked to OS and he’s never going to stop writing about the Royals because it’s his job. They can’t turn their backs on him because he knows their secrets too, so they could be stuck in a cycle of wanting to pull away but needing to keep him sweet. It means they will never reconcile with William and Kate.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that - both have value and both are required in her role.

It all does smack of jealousy on Scobie's part (William "pushed him out"). H&M are clearly involved in this - how recently is clearly up for debate, but they have been involved. Such petty, inconsequential tidbits as well. Its just gossip wrapped up in a hardcover.

The irony being that this is exactly what Princess Diana was like. She was the "People's Princess" not some pre-prepared speech show boater, and purveyor of clever sounding (but ultimately meaningless) word salad. Catherine has the same sort of personality.

On that point, Mrs Finkelstein, I note that the writer on the main Kate Hate website tweeted this morning that she had received an advance copy of Endgame to read (no, really, what a coincidence!!), and that her followers will love it because it’s “mauling the Windsors”. So that’s absolutely the market its aimed at.

It’s like a variation on the saying “better to be silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and prove it.”

Whatever Kate does, they will twist it to use it against her.

What in earth did they think she should say. “Hey girl. I saw you on Oprah. What was that like?”

I didn’t actually remember Kate being on Blue Peter, so I just went and googled. She’s been on it twice - once going along pond dipping with children at a Wildlife Centre, and once with William where they were presented with gold Blue Peter badges for their work in helping to raise awareness of the importance of children’s mental health.

The first appearance seems so very firmly in Kate’s wheelhouse that I wonder if her reluctance was over turning up to be made the centre of attention and awarded the badge?

The thing I find interesting though is that when the queen was alive, H&M directed their fury at Charles, clearly realising they needed to keep their bread buttered with the Queen, even though she was the one who told them no to the half in half our plan.

then when the queen died and Charles became King, all their grudges suddenly were targeted at W&C. clearly they stopped aiming at C because he was in the position of power.

If, god forbid, something happened to Charles in the near future and William suddenly became King, I do wonder what H&M would do. Because I don’t think William will ever forgive Harry for the blaze of glory he’s set alight

Why on earth would Eugenie call someone she knew was being kept at arms' length when she could ask her father or one of the other closer family instead?

Although, Eugenie is a funny one. She's part of the Soho House/Markus Anderson set. It would not surprise me at all if that one has loose lips.

And how absolutely stupid that announcement looked, even from here in the US. You’re on the way to Scotland, phhhhh who cares? You are private citizens now. You don’t need a press office announcing your moves as if you were Prince Charles. Who else in the family made an announcement like that?

It was such an embarrassing moment. Especially that they were using Scobie as if he were a serious news outlet or spokesperson. Then the recant “oops, now we’re not.” Cringe.
