I've never understood the narrative that it is an absolute tragedy that Archie and Lily haven't met/got to know their grandfather, King Charles, who is portrayed as a devious, cold, jealous man by his son; but there is no equivalent tragedy narrative that Archie and Lily haven't met their grandfather, Thomas, who had historically always been portrayed as the perfect father by his daughter, a self proclaimed "daddy's girl".
Yes, that's so odd, isn't it...
What reason could there possibly be that one grandfather is so much more important than the other?
