So, so much harder to forgive a stupid man for gossiping about private family problems . Harry would say he himself had every right to break privacy and blab whilst in the next breath say Markle senior had no right to blab and break privacy. He'll tie himself in knots.

I meant that Harry grew up in the sense that he no longer lives a rackety life style. If we don't forgive Princess Michael of Kent for wearing a blackamoor brooch I don't think we can excuse Harry's awful comments. Did he ever apologise?

My personal opinion is that if Harry had introduced himself to Thomas and spent time getting to know him prior to the engagement …which is generally normal behaviour then everything could have turned out so differently 🤷‍♀️

Good point earlier that if things get easier between Charles and Harry it will be privately. I hope so, and a bit of thaw between Wills and Harry away from headlines. When Harry was on a helicopter trip - I think with J.J. Field on The One Show last week, he said, "My brother has flown one of these twice", or something very like that. I know I will be accused of de-railing. I was pleased to hear him speak just that little sentence about his brother and the military service which they have in common and as far as I could hear, just fact, no criticism or sideswipe involved.

The tide is starting to turn with H&M. Even on the DM comments are increasingly along the lines of “ok we’ve had enough now, leave them alone”, which I am really surprised about. I mean, you will still get those staunch haters as is evident by this thread but after several years of story after story, I think people are done!

I don’t know - it all went downhill after he sold pictures of himself getting ready for the wedding and then when the story broke, chose to stick with the press rather than his daughter. I think regardless of whether or not he met Harry, anyone who is willing to use their daughter to make money will have gone down that path sooner or later.

I find it really quite awful how many people post here about Megan's family and how she should reconcile or comparing what they've said to what her family have done. Her family are racists, her father tried to blackmail her and threatens her repeatedly. If he was any other male in her life most people would think he's an awful human being who is harassing her. People actually think a parent can treat their child like this, sitting with racists and a sick demented half brother, and should still be forgiven, worse, he should be around her children.

If anyone here would genuinely introduce their children to a man like this who has done what he has to her, I think that says a lot. Meghan has the sense not to let him back in or around her children, not just because of his actions but because that would mean some kind of connection with racist and disturbed people too.

Meghan found out Thomas wasn't attending their wedding via TMZ. It was always going to go down hill.

Harry has apologised and discussed how ashamed he is of his past comments and unconscious bias, and clearly has worked on it and is now married to a biracial woman and had children with her. Nobody excuses the comments, its the fact he has done the work and now stands up against racism including that directed at his wife. What has this got to do with Thomas Markle?

It's a sad situation but I don't see any chance of reconciliation
