What surreptitious timing, Thomas Markle has been wheeled out again, let's hear what he has to say.

TM was on GMB only two days ago begging and pleading to see Meghan and Harry's children when he doesn't even see his five other grandchildren. I wonder why it's only Archie and Lilli he wants to see..... nothing to do with the royal connection, course not..... 👀💰 kerching! $$$$$ !

So I am assuming the posters who think its wrong of Harry have never read an autobiography of any kind? Because to wrote one you have to talk about the other people in your life.

He should have warned Sasha that he was going to talk about their encounter. He must have known she would be outed .
I had a brief relationship with someone at university who became very famous and I would be furious if he alluded to it in a book .

I can honestly say, and I have read plenty of auto biographies over the years, that I have never read one that in places demonstrated such rampant entitlement a complete lack of self awareness and complete hypocrisy (haven’t read KC one so can’t comment on that). Just my opinion of course.

There was a reason it became the focus of many, many memes and had a cartoon made out of it. But it all helped when I was getting over a bout of Covid so I was grateful for that👍🏻.

If you can find an autobiography that tops that then do recommend me it, I’d like to read it. Does Donald Trump have an autobiography out? 😉

StormzyinaTCup · 20/09/2023 09:06

I think I’m probably derailing so best I get off to work now.

Iwantcakeeveryday · 20/09/2023 09:23

So you do read autobiographies then? But only Harry shouldn't write one. Got it.

Of course he can write a book and no where have I said he can’t. the issue is people who say he can write a book, go on Oprah and make money out of the RF but TM et all have to keep quiet. Harry can throw his family under the bus and people can have an opinion on it but then same rule should apply to TM et al. What is silly is the mental gymnastics going on to justify why it’s ok for one and not the other, it just looks silly.

I think its silly to compare an abusive father threatening and blackmailing and repeating the same nasty stuff to an autobiography by a member of the British royal family. Very very silly.

Roussette · 20/09/2023 09:42

I find it silly to compare the two but there you go

StormzyinaTCup · 20/09/2023 09:47

Thats fine, we can have different opinions and I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind - it’s really no biggie and certainly not worth getting into a silly back and forth over.

I have said my bit and don’t have anything else to add (at the moment😉).

So don't then! You've twice now said you'll leave it! So silly isn't it.....

Poor Harry didn't get as many sausages as William. He's a deprived wee soul. He should sue the RF and demand sausage reparations.

Iwantcakeeveryday · 20/09/2023 10:17

I always find it very revealing who people defend and stick up for and who they mock and slate endlessly. Those who sympathise and excuse an abusive man who sits with racists and conspiracy theorists who believe that Prince Archie and Princess Lili aren't real, or are not Meghan's children, while they mock the mental health of someone who lost a mother as a child, has been to war and grew up completely controlled and 'owned' by an outdated suffocating institution, are showing what actually matters to them. It isn't anyones mental health.

I am really not sure how you can write a book about your life and not include daft stuff like this
If I were to do one, it would be full of silly detail like this!

I hope you are just as down on Charles because of his autobiography I bet not, this was one review at the time.

“Through Dimbleby, Charles tried to put his case forward and set right the real and imagined wrongs he felt had been done to him.” However, “he came across as petty and small, and he offended his wife, his parents, his sister, his brothers, his children.”

I think all these royal books are regrettable. Except for Diana's book which was full of real revelations not rubbish about sausages.

Very like Harry who offended his brother, father and sister in law. Oh woe is me!

Samcro · 20/09/2023 10:51

its funny to see the posters who defend TM, make excuses for him and so on. slate Harry for telling "his truth"

derxa · 20/09/2023 11:01

slate Harry for telling "his truth" His truth about sausages. I have absolutely no respect for him. I used to feel sorry for him re him having to leave the army

Samcro · 20/09/2023 11:02

yet you defend TM. which is what this thread is about.

But you have huge respect for Charles and have forgiven him, non?
Will you ever forgive Harry?

Yes, correct, this thread is about Thomas and that poster has defended him despite the fact he is threatening Meghan, tried to blackmail her, and conspires with racists and people who make horrible comments on her children- that he insists on seeing. That's all ok because he has heart problems. I mean, geez, its quite the reach isn't it. His heart made him sit with racists.

I don't defend his actions. He has been very foolish. I feel sorry for him

Forgive Harry? He's done nothing to me. Harry and Charles are very similar in their self indulgence and self pity.

It's tragic it really is. Was it just the sausages or did William fare better toast wise too i wonder?

Good on Harold for shining a light and sharing his truth on these distressing matters. Driven by petty woes and bitterness, but at least he tells others to #MoveOn and #DontLetOnesWoesDefineYou.
