The trailer for 'Heart of Invictus" has been released by Netflix, and it looks incredible, and so moving.

For those interested, please find it here.

@Iwantcakeeveryday Thank you for posting the correct quote word for word.

That should put an end to the twisting of words, false accusations and lies.

Now that last sentence is rather apt in the light of what we are talking about. 😂

I have to say that earlier today when all the stories were being recounted about personal traumas and Great Uncles dying in the Great War etc I did think to myself " what is this to do with the topic as most families are hit by these things in life" but then I recognised that yes this is a natural flow of the thread. It is not exactly about the people featured in Invictus but it is relevant to the posters and their perception of the thread. I remember someone once talking about how it is nice to gel or similar with the other posters ( about accents of previous boyfriends if I recollect ) and that it is not necessarily derailment but that it is bonding or similar. It is something though that has to be applied consistently to all posters.

Roussette · 31/08/2023 20:44

I suppose knocking Harry is some sort of 'bonding' or 'gelling' with others is it?

You missed the point of my post.

I'd like JJ chalmers to present. I think IG is big enough now they don't need to be weighed by loose cannon Harry.

How unfair. He started it. He's passionate about it. What he says to the participants always seems to be very well received. But let's just drop him Hmm

I don’t think it makes a difference because it’s his massive profile that pulls attention. So even if he goes from being fun Harry to notorious Harry and people only watch to see if he has a go at his family… in the eyes of the IG it’s just as good?

This is a story about Team UK and their last training before the games, I found it interesting there is an athlete with Lupus, it seems uncommon for someone with a chronic illness to be involved but I am inspired by that :)

I hope we can move on to discussing something other than that tiny part of the series.

Honest question- if you want to stick to discussions about the tv documentary, why not have a thread in the Telly addicts section?

1 I didn't start the thread, MNHQ have been in and this is ok here because its Harrys charity
and 2 same reason people start and engage in threads here about the Oprah tv interview, H & M Netflix series, and the Spotify deal. Pretty sure Ive seen you on such threads too.

Lupus is no joke (none of these conditions are) but good on her for going for it!

Iwantcakeeveryday · 31/08/2023 21:24

That was a cute interview (except that mans silly question at the end )

yeah it is really hard Lupus, so many symptoms, fatigue is something I get horribly so I just find it amazing she can do it. It must take all her energy some days. I was actually thinking she might also be dealing with menopause symptoms which can complicate or add to any chronic illness.

Literally no need for it. But good interview. Glad to see that his enthusiasm for the games and the documentary is evident to normal day to day people.

MissElinorDashwood · 31/08/2023 21:40

@Iwantcakeeveryday Lupus is an awful auto immune condition and so difficult to diagnose! Wishing you strength, good health and a healthy mind. May your condition always be manageable and controlled 🙏🏼💐

Gilmorehill · 31/08/2023 21:42

@Iwantcakeeveryday well if it's on the royal family topic rather than the tv topic, you can't expect posters to only stick to talking about the documentary 🤷‍♀️. Yes you will have seen me on threads about the Netflix series but I wasn't calling for people to stick to only discussing the tv series so I'm being consistent. You want people to stick to discussing the series, go to the Telly Addicts topic.

Iwantcakeeveryday · 31/08/2023 22:05

@MissElinorDashwood thank you, sorry to confuse, I have other auto immune conditions which cause fatigue and many other symptoms overlap too, but not lupus. Lupus is really much more difficult, my cousin has it. I hope I get to see that lady compete!

Iwantcakeeveryday · 31/08/2023 22:08

Actually @Gilmorehill MNHQ have already asked for the same as I on this thread

That’s okay.

Yes, autoimmune symptoms overlap so much. An official diagnosis of any autoimmune condition can be a long and arduous journey. Wishing both you and your cousin well.

😊♥️

onlylarkin · 31/08/2023 22:24

I too have autoimmune issues. No Lupus, but my latest 3 years has led me to develop psoriasis on top of other auto immune diseases.

I am happy this is a subject of the doc as well.

MissElinorDashwood · 31/08/2023 22:39

@onlylarkin I’m sorry to hear that. Is your psoriasis with arthritis? You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.

JamieFrasersfurrysporran · 31/08/2023 22:42

Me too, Hidradenitis Suppartiva

onlylarkin · 31/08/2023 22:58

I haven't been diagnosed yet, but I think so. My body just doesn't want to work right.

JamieFrasersfurrysporran · 31/08/2023 23:03

Cosytnx is supposed to be a good drug for psoriasis and I think they are trying it with other autoimmune conditions
