The trailer for 'Heart of Invictus" has been released by Netflix, and it looks incredible, and so moving.

For those interested, please find it here.

I never said people who don't like Harry are negative. I said certain posters are negative and seem insincere. That is my opinion and I am entitled to it. I believe it 100% there are posters here who are only here to stir the pot. Again, my opinion and I am entitled to it. I can't speak for everyone, but I fully believe I am not the only one who thinks this way.

Just because a person can do something, doesn't mean they should.

Your point was absolutely clear regardless of the language used. As you say you are entitled to your opinion so say it.

PrincessTigger · 31/08/2023 20:02

Yes and don’t forget W was just a child himself so I’m sure he tried to help but what could H really have expected from another lost kid

mrsmingleton · 31/08/2023 20:09

I'm watching a series just now and it features a troubled family which results from a family bereavement many years before and it deals with how all of them have grown "to live with" what happened. One of the central characters has never "dealt" with it and he continues to create havoc for the rest of his family. He is ultimately self destructive as nothing anyone can ever do or say can help him. I was thinking how similar this was with Harry.

I thought that too

I believe this too. I’ve noticed a pattern.

I’m sure I recognise Tom Folwell from somewhere too

There’s no point in speculating. You can’t prove William tried to help him when their mother died.

Well people are more than happy to speculate in the opposite direction, and it’s far more likely that W would try to help his little brother

Iwantcakeeveryday · 31/08/2023 20:17

This thread isn't about the relationship between William and Harry. It's been discussed enough. Why not start a new thread about that if its going to be such a long conversation.

MissElinorDashwood · 31/08/2023 20:19

mrsmingleton · 31/08/2023 19:42

Yet again we have the concept put forward on here of "negative people" to mean the ones who do not agree with certain posters. In fact that is then taken a step further as being described as "insincere". I wouldn't describe avid supporters of Harry as "negative people" so why the other way ? Everyone is entitled to their opinion on Harry and yes that will vary.

I don't think I have read anyone on here saying that the Invictus games are a bad thing. Yes, some have discussed the idea that Harry has brought over to it some of the "issues" that his previous revelations have made known - he said this before, then he said this and that this may well put some viewers off. I read the comments below a You Tube link ( not the one I posted) and so many Americans saying that the fact that he was involved would mean they would not watch. It is a shame that people think like this but then it is understandable too especially in the USA where " military" carries a special significance for many.

Don’t worry about it. YouTube is full of bots and Meghan & Harry hate propaganda is monetised on that platform. It’s a lucrative business.
Judging by their past projects, it won’t affect them too much.

mrsmingleton · 31/08/2023 20:19

@Iwantcakeeveryday it's not a separate topic though. It is directly related to the fact that harry says now in the Invictus documentary he had no support whereas a couple of years ago he said his brother and others did help.

Janiie · 31/08/2023 20:20

'That is my opinion and I am entitled to it'

We all are. It's chat forum so debate is of course the point. What we should be able to do is accept others are allowed to voice their opinions too, as long as posting within TGs. To dismiss people as negative or insincere is not very pleasant. I'm an incredibly positive person I just don't like folk changing their stories to fit their current narratives.

'This thread isn't about the relationship between William and Harry. It's been discussed enough. Why not start a new thread about that'

It isn't about boarding school either but we had a fair few comments about that.

Just ignore attempts to derail. As long as it is actually on topic, all is good 😎

I agree. Apologies.

Iwantcakeeveryday · 31/08/2023 20:25

5 episodes and people want to bang on and on and on about two words Harry said. It's been discussed at length. I just think it's so rude and disrespectful to ignore the central theme and competitors stories just to repeat the same things said over and over on many other threads.

onlylarkin · 31/08/2023 20:26

And I think people deliberately trying to disrupt a thread isn't very pleasant. So? I really do not care if you think there are insincere people on MN ir not. As if MN is in some type of protective bubble that keeps out the unsavory bits ofothe internet.

I am not sure why you are so triggered by my opinion. If what I described is not you, then why does it matter?

Iwantcakeeveryday · 31/08/2023 20:28

What he actually said:

'The biggest struggle for me was no one around me really could help, I didn't have that support structure, that network or that expert advice to identify what was actually going on with me.'

'Unfortunately, like most of us, the first time you consider therapy is when you are lying on the floor in the foetal position probably wishing you had dealt with some of this stuff previously. And that's what I really want to change.'

What is so wrong with that and where is the blame to William? So ridiculous.

He presents it, he should be more careful that what he says matches what he has said previously.

I'd like JJ chalmers to present. I think IG is big enough now they don't need to be weighed by loose cannon Harry.

PrincessTigger · 31/08/2023 20:31

From 2017:

“I can safely say that losing my mom at the age of 12 and therefore shutting down all of my emotions for the last 20 years has had a quite serious effect on not only my personal life but also my work as well,” he told Gordon. “And it was only three years ago, funny enough, from the support around, and my brother and other people saying, ‘You really need to deal with this. It’s not normal to think that nothing has affected you.’ ”

(Actually quite a lovely interview to go back to!)

@Iwantcakeeveryday Thank you for posting the correct quote word for word.

That should put an end to the twisting of words, false accusations and lies.

Iwantcakeeveryday · 31/08/2023 20:35

I hope we can move on to discussing something other than that tiny part of the series.

How unfair. He started it. He's passionate about it. What he says to the participants always seems to be very well received. But let's just drop him Hmm
