Omid Scobie writing tell all book

1000 replies

CosmosQueen · 29/06/2023 07:23

The biographer of the Duke and Duchess of Sussexwarned that his next book will reveal moments that the Royal family should be “ashamed of”.
Omid Scobie claimed he was one of few journalists writing about the Royal family whose work was impartial and “spin-free”

As such, he said his forthcoming book, provocatively titled Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival, would focus on the negative as much as the positive and would shine a light on “unsolved mysteries”
“Endgame not only looks at the successes of our Royal family but also the failures; the things to be proud of and those they should be ashamed of,” he wrote in the I newspaper

Just when will this end? I feel so sorry for their poor children who will have to live with the knowledge that their parents and his obnoxious individual were prepared to do anything to make money.

I think this is it forever now. The Duke of Windsor never had children so nobody to take up his mantle of grievances, or “intergenerational trauma” as Harry might call it. There will still be Hallmark movies being made about them in 100 years time.

What... Omid Scobie's parents? What on earth do you mean? Are you talking Harry and blaming him for every book brought out that is questioning the Monarchy?

This is not Harry's book. (cue posters saying he will have passed all the info, yes I've heard it all before) I quite fancy reading it.

Oblahbla · 29/06/2023 07:36

How can he claim to be impartial and spin-free?

Quite! Some people genuinely don't seem to have the gift of self awareness....

His contacts are all from Harry and M’s camp though - he makes that clear every time he writes about them versus the RF. So it stands to reasons he’s been fed info for this book.

Roussette · 29/06/2023 07:46

Of course it will be ridiculed on MN RF threads, par for the course!

I'll let you know when I've read it.

Any book questioning the role of the Monarchy is good for me.

Of course, Royalists will hate it. (No comment yet on my detailed breakdown of the Royal finances on another thread, Report just released)

Endgame, pulls back the curtain on the Palace, exposing the chaos, dysfunction, and distrust amongst the British royal family, and what needs to happen to preserve a monarchy in crisis

I genuinely laughed aloud at reading that sentence! How can anything in the book be considered factual when he clearly doesn't understand what the truth is?

Of course it's not Harry's fault he's writing it but he is obviously doing so from the point of view that they can do no wrong and he clearly gets information straight from them. Anyone thinking it will be even remotely impartial and not just another bitch fest about everyone else but Harry and Meghan is living in cloud Cuckoo land.

Maireas · 29/06/2023 07:51

I think it's fine questioning the role of the monarchy, and it's relevance in the 21st century. I think some people mistake Harry and Meghan's actions as those of anti monarchists or republicans, when really they're royalists with a personal axe to grind.

Mrsjayy · 29/06/2023 07:52

He Is calling it Endgame like the Marvel film.? Dramatic much 😅

A point I’ve made before. Imo H&M want to destroy William & possibly Charles personally but not the monarchy. If Harry was heir none of these shenanigans would have occurred. Jealousy pure & simple.

Justbetweenus · 29/06/2023 08:01

Most people don’t have an axe to grind with the monarchy and are neither strongly pro nor anti royalist.

I’m sure there are still some people who want to hear (a version of) the gossip from OS but H&M have told us their version of their story multiple times already and interest in that story is waning pretty fast. I’d say OS has missed that party train.

pilates · 29/06/2023 08:02

Of course, it’s not H & M’s book they are just the ghost writers.

And if the late Queen had allowed their half in/ half out wishes , I doubt if we would have heard any complaints!

Precisely. They’re probably being careful not to directly write it so using Omid instead. It’s highly unlikely he would know anything without being fed by H&M.

They may not be anti monarchists but they’re doing a pretty good job of doing as much damage as possible. It’s spiteful and malicious imo.

This thread is so predictable!

Perhaps C&C or W&K were ghost writers for Tom Bowers tell all book ?! He had to get his info for it from somewhere!

Of course this book would be slammed before it's even read by anyone! Anything that looks at the structure and state of the Monarchy is welcomed by me.

Prescottdanni123 · 29/06/2023 08:09

Anyone with any common sense will know all of the 'knowledge' Scobor has comes from Meghan and Harry.

Meghan and Harry's attempts of causing trouble for the royal family has done nothing but backfire. So they are using someone else to cause trouble for them, hoping that if this backfires again (which it will) someone else will end up in the shit. Scobie is currently too far up his own arse to notice that he is their chosen scapegoat.

SeeingSpots · 29/06/2023 08:10

It's predictable that most people with common sense can see exactly where the information is coming from? Where do you think his knowledge comes from if not directly from them?

Yes, I have no common sense whatsoever. Quite obviously.

I would prefer to read it first, before slamming it. But that's just me, I'm obviously very odd 😂

Angela Kelly. She’s got an axe to grind now that Charles has booted her out of her grave and favour house*

*I made this up.

You didn't answer my question though. Where do you think any of his information comes from of not directly from Harry and Meghan?
