And did anyone see or photograph Meghan on a private jet? Everyone seems rather sure.
Or is it going to be like the time she took a private jet to see Serena, only for the mail to sit on pics of her boarding commercial and release them a few weeks later.

They recently tried it with Harry, except on 2 occasions passengers snapped him (not even on 1st class)and quickly put it up on social media from disbelief. Other times it was the paps waiting at the runway.

It really is hard to wriggle out of the fact that visiting Uvalde was a poor move. Even if she travelled by Greyhound bus.

Re the “grifting” and charity, Meghan & Harry received an award of an ongoing annual $100k from NAACP. They then announced that Archewell was giving an annual award of - you guessed it - $100k. That $100k is doing more rounds than a Baylis & Harding gift set.

*When Sean Penn went to Haiti after Hurricane Katrina, no one bet an eyelid, it was a hard hitting thing to happen. I think most people were encouraged to donate with the publicity he brought to see how serious the whole thing was.

Celebrities go overseas all the time to help with some kind of relief or the other.* But apparently, exclusively, Meghan is not allowed.

There was a lot to do in Haiti. Sean Penn was accused of showboating there, but at least he did stuff, and helping with relief and raising awareness was useful. But there wasn't anything for Meghan to do in Uvalde except intrude on the community's grief and take the attention away from the victims and onto herself. There was no need to raise awareness. Her being there did not make it a bigger story than it was already, on the contrary it was a distraction.

Nothing new about that; Harry did exactly the same when he hijacked Invictus to yammer on about how the Queen told him things she couldn't tell anyone else/needed him to "make sure she had the right people around her", to say nothing of Meghan's sobfest in a South African township of all places

Fundamentally they just don't get that not every blasted thing has to be about them all the time. Yes, a lot of other RF visits are pure PR, but at least they manage not to make it so blatantly obvious or to indulge in crass behaviour quite so often

I remember we used to do competency based interviews and would drill down to people’s role in a project as everyone was usually ‘instrumental’ but sometimes when asked specific questions it turns out they had no real role.

It looks like Meghan’s role was

TBH it doesn't really matter whether M flew privately or not to Uvalde. We know H and M fly privately despite their policy on environmentalism. Was she wrong to do so? She must have known it would be reported. She must have known it would be divisive surely. It seems that several people didn't even know who she was and wondered who the person was handing out chips to blood donors.

Theres a bit of a difference reading words in the press from actual people affected, and a reddit post. Surely you know that?
