I know the film, but it sounds like the OP is referring to Meghan as smelly, imagine if a poster critical of Meghan’s actions had the name 😀

😁😂Yes - perhaps without realizing it!

I think the palace have not released the report because the Queen had the final say and she loved her grandson Harry and didn't want him thrown to the dogs for what she perceived as being his wife's adverse influence. Charles probably feels the same way.

Seems fairly obvious it was set up to beef up their demands for paid security.

Agree

Elior · 19/06/2023 09:53

I've often found this with TV and film industry folk who have enjoyed modest success. They do weave events from their own lives into plots or script format which are not nearly as good or credible as they would like. I think Meghan did this during The Cut interview too. I have seen this play out IRL.

tigger2022 · 19/06/2023 10:04

I think the reason they did not release the report is legal - the palace (Kensington?) was these people’s employer, not Meghan and Harry personally. If they have a system in which the family is protected from criticism and staff have nowhere independent to go, if people can be constructively dismissed (which is illegal) by senior members of the family, then ultimately it would be the palace taken to an employment tribunal, not H&M personally.

tigger2022 · 19/06/2023 10:06

(This is why it’s not credible that the palace leaked the story - it’s not credible that they’d announce to The Times that they’d broken employment contracts and employment law. When VL says it was disgruntled former employees he’s almost certainly telling the truth)

skullbabe · 19/06/2023 10:29

It's such a shame that M isn't enjoying her time with her children while they are so young as time flies so quickly.

How do you know M is not enjoying her time with her children? What an odd thing to say.

Gracewithoutend · 19/06/2023 10:32

All we know is that Harry and Meghan denied bullying and Harry has then acknowledged in his book that staff were stressed and would often cry.

We also know from the book that William was angry by how staff were being treated by Meghan.

GlorianaCervixia · 19/06/2023 10:45

I might be misremembering, but I think that's one of the points Valentine Low made in his book - that the institution wasn't set up to manage the behaviour of family members towards staff. So, if Prince Andrew (to use a neutral example) was bullying a staff member, there were very few routes they could go down to address it. If nothing else, I hope the report has meant that the palace has put processes in place to protect staff.

SoTedious · 19/06/2023 10:47

Valentine Low has talked of wanting to 'bring Meghan down' (or it might have even been 'destroy') in an interview

Wasn't this Tom Bower? VL talks about there being blame on both sides, that Meghan had completely unrealistic expectations and the RF were very slow to understand the significance of the problem that was brewing.

his sensationalist book was to make money for him. I pay no heed to the likes of him.

Oh this is delicious - a Harry defender getting the hump about people writing sensationalist books for money, very good!
👏👏👏😂😂😂

It was the same on the royal yacht Britannia, I was told by a former member of the ship's crew. They were Royal Navy and served their commanding officer and the Queen.

It was very difficult for them when one of the known arseholes in the RF started throwing his weight around, being rude and vile, having temper tantrums and generally treating the crew like shit. They, the crew, were supposed to just put up with it.

In terms of Dior, would the company require 'full disclosure' from Meghan before a legal deal was signed? It's pretty common for people approaching a new role to be asked, 'is there anything in your background that would embarrass you or us if it came out?' If I were hiring or signing up celebs like Meghan and Harry * , who have already publicly indicated a certain lifestyle, I would want to know about any secret reports and drug use any other hostages to fortune.

*MailOnline is suggesting today that someone claims that Dior may sign both H&M. Yeah, I know, tenuous. But it was pretty obvious yesterday the Mail's up to something with this 'developing narrative'.

It was reported on by Valentine Low from The Times who had spoken with multiple staff members who were bullied by Meghan and Harry. He also reported on it in his book. He quoted staff members saying they felt sick and afraid after being screamed at.

Odd that if it’s untrue, neither of them have sued over it. They love a lawsuit, those two.

And let's not forget that Harry admitted in Spare that staff members would wept at their desk "more than once".

For people to cry more than once, it was clearly a toxic work environment but people love to ignore this fact

Elior · 19/06/2023 11:37

Or perhaps they were weeping because they could not contain their adoration? 😆

How on earth do you know she isn't spending time and enjoying her children? 😲😲

Of course she is! They both come across as very hands on and loving parents.
Do we say this sort of thing about all working women? Shock
I get some people want or need to criticise her, but really....

how @Roussette can you say that, you have no idea either!

Roussette · 19/06/2023 12:09

I'm not the one who has made a negative statement saying what a shame it is she isn't spending time with her children.

We dont know anything, I just wouldn't make such a negative statement when we dont know. Oh well it's Meghan, anything goes

Re the children they’re supposed to have: why are they not photographed properly, ever? It’s suspicious. No wonder people think they were born by surrogate or that they don’t exist at all.

Why - if they do exist - are they not photographed endlessly which appears to be a parental obsession, frankly?

How true.

Is this the face of an alleged bully? You decide…

Meghan Markle - Duchess of Dior?
Cam22 · 19/06/2023 12:32

And a terrified spouse.
