I guess he, unreasonably, expected that Harry would have got off his arse in the two years since the contract was signed and made some effort. Clearly it takes a lot longer than 2 years for Harry's brain to get an idea.

I think this is partly where the issue lies. Harry is quite dim but doesn't have the self awareness to realise it because he surrounds himself with sycophants. That's a major problem for a podcast where you have to have something interesting to say. Meghan isn't dim, but I do think it's a lot of word salad and style over substance.

They want to be seen as philanthropists but don't have the necessary means to support their showy lifestyle. So the charity work ends up looking a bit grubby as they're lining their pockets. Charity work aside, what can they offer?

The odd salacious headline but that's getting old now they've left the RF. They're famous only because of the royal connection and Harry doesn't have the talent to monetise it beyond his wife writing a few right-on speeches for him.

They are a walking cautionary tale for the next generation of senior royals 😅

I think he thought his name was enough and actually someone else would do the hard work and he could just pop in and says few things (which is probably more or less how it works in the royal family).

It’s pretty damning that it’s cancelled due to lack of content, not numbers.

I agree with both these comments, but why Spotify thought that Prince Harry would have any experience or useful input in making podcasts is beyond me.

His life until early 2020 was micro-managed to the nth degree by a private secretary and the palace PR machine. He never had to do anything for himself. He turned up where and when he was told, wearing what he was told and he made polite chit-chat, cut the ribbon, thanked people for their work and went home again. He is, by his own admission, a bit thick. So more fool Spotify for thinking he'd suddenly be able to generate large amounts of interesting and relevant content for them and keep churning it out on a regular basis.

😂Even back then, her brain was working in overtime when it came to furthering her own ambitions via her relationship. She agreed to do the ice bucket challenge only if he personally emptied the bucket over her. This allowed her to publicly associate her name with his (and she really wasn't very well known at the time). Her lack of discretion is apparently why he ended the relationship.

@Elior I got the impression that the relationship with Rory McIlroy was very much a casual, short fling that was never serious (certainly on his part). Did he not already have a girlfriend, or met his girlfriend very soon after??

I did find her attraction to Ashley Cole a bit weird, but then again, as an American she likely wasn't actually that aware of his reputation

Lack of discretion is huge for wealthy people and celebrities. My ex was a Hollywood actor. We are still in touch although he's a very self absorbed stereotype of an actor. Celebrities do not want to risk someone leaking info on them, and Harry and Megs are a risk.

I think Meghan is very pretty and while I think she is full of BS a lot, finding roles for a biracial, racially ambiguous woman is still hard.

Yes, Meghan is beautiful. But, let's face it beautiful actresses are ten a penny. There's a reason she never made it to Hollywood, she just wasn't beautiful or talented enough. There is no disgrace in that, thousands of women more beautiful and more talented than Meghan don't make it either.

From the Canadian press, I remember that her affair with the Canadian ice hockey player ended her first marriage and then she had the fling with Rory, then the other ice hockey player and then moved in with the celebrity chef Cory and while still living with him, started seeing Harry (but dates were later fudged on purpose).

Lol No. No one that cool. He's in a lot of movies with a lot of amazing actors but he does niche parts. Privacy is everything though. Even mentioning Courtney Cox in his book was really shitty. Harry and Meghan are too unpredictable.
