Each person is bringing their own separate lawsuit. The Mirror just agreed to them all being heard at the same time because its cheaper and because they thought a lot would be struck out for being out of time, which doesn't appear to be the case. I think the judge rules on out of time decisions as he's going through the cases. But not totally sure on that.
The evidence that each gives sets the tone for the judge that a lot of alleged illegal activity might have gone on. But each individual still has to prove their own case.
