I don't know. Harry might actually know William received a settlement. But do courts just take that as fact without some corroborating evidence, like for example, a statement from William. I know the burden of proof is lower in civil court but surely it's not judges just listening to he said, she said and deciding who they like better. Otherwise it's just a whole load of fragrant Mary Archers!

I don't believe (& I'll admit I could be wrong), but I don't think there's any concerns about tabloid hacking of phones after about c2012??? Just because people realised it could happen and the tabloids became aware of the technology & data trails to track and confirm the hacking.

Theyre not separate cases. They're all one case. But if Harry persuades the judge that just one article was obtained through illegal means, he's proved his case and has won.

To answer your original question, OP, I don't know what will happen next. If it is proven that Harry's phone was hacked, then he will feel rightly vindicated.
Paradoxically it may help him to trust others again who he thinks may have briefed against him?
