From what I have read/watched the US laws are about substances that are illegal in the jurisdiction where they were taken, at the time they were taken. So not so whether they were/are now legal in the US, but that the person chose to break the law to take them. I suppose breaking the law around drugs is more of an indication of potential problems in the USA than a list of whether someone has or has not taken a specific substance.

But lots of celebrities have been allowed in to the USA with very public drug habits. Money talks. So I don't suppose Harry will have any problems.

He also admitted to underage drinking too !
But let's be honest, nothing is ever going to be done about it.

I’m not sure anything should be done either given that his family stay there. Let him stay.

It would be nice if everyone else trying to enter with similar drug experiences would be treated with the same leniency though.

To be fair, I’ve never given this much thought. I’ve never indulged so any restrictions or declarations just wouldn’t apply.

It interests me that the contents of the book don’t count as a type of admission when looking for any differences or discrepancies contained in an official application or declaration.

I wonder why- after all it is his truth. Unless of course it is considered that autobiographies can be filled with any old toot.

I suppose he could say the book was all made up and just to get sales, so shouldn't count.

You've got a good point @ArcaneWireless , seems to me ( my opinion!) , that the book is a bastion of his truth, when it suits some and only a book of hazy self recollections when it doesn't!

I agree, @ArcaneWireless - much of the book is actually unintentionally funny, but I do wonder about all this "my truth" nonsense. I always thought the term to be objective.
He seems to fluctuate enormously in what he claims.

Alas, I’ve only read it here so it is only a musing. I’ve not seen any links - but like you, I may have missed them.

It does seem to me that something purporting to contain important truths may not be universally accepted as such when it comes to important matters. And I would wonder why not….

Some of the accounts would have really hurt people. And he would deserve (as my dear old nan used to say) ‘a het airse’ for upsetting people for shits and giggles.
