Its interesting the attention his drug admission and visa has created as any admission of drug use before the age of 18 would not affect his visa. It is also about where the admission took place, apparently writing it in a book would not be enough. If he had a drug conviction, it would be a no-go situation. Nigella got stopped because she was an adult when she took the drugs, and she had admitted to it under oath.

I wouldn't have thought it right to release that information if all visa applications were secret. But as some are open and online, then everyone's should be.

In Spare Harry states he took magic mushrooms in 2016. He was well over 18!!

the book isn't an accepted admission under their laws from what Ive read on it, although he could of course have disclosed it, and doing drugs doesn't completely rule out getting a visa. Magic mushrooms are becoming decriminalised all over America so in the future at least, it won't matter

because some drug use was definitely as a man in his 30s, not under 18.

USA decriminalisation didn’t start to 2019 in Denver, 3 years after Harry’s usage in Hollywood.

This comment made me think that.

His account involves things that happened under 18, in addition, as I said, where admissions occur is also a factor as books do not count. He also could have disclosed it, as it wouldn't;t automatically rule anyone out. So, the book has had no bearing on anything regarding his visa.
