The abuse the bike shop got was unfair and unwarranted. No arguments there.
For me, it is a bit sad that after a month, someone in the Sussex household didn’t manage to at least sign a letter of thanks.
I don’t think it was necessary of the company to display the thank you letter and I find it a little odd unless it was an ‘oh look what we did’ for a connection to that household.
Have they displayed other thank you letters?
Are they saying that the other people they donated bikes to didn’t say thank you? (Whether it be selected charities or the recipients?)
I would find that even more odd.
And as for this?

It is not outwith the realms of possibility that they might have sent a thank you letter if they’d have had a gift too. I wonder why they weren’t chosen for such a generous impromptu gesture?
