I thought yesterday couldn't have gone better, all things considered; there was the least amount of drama or negative coverage possible regarding the Sussexes. I'd like to hope that this marks a fresh start. Harry's got all the recriminations off his chest. The Royal Family have maintained a dignified silence and hopefully the future is rosy. The Sussexes can have the life they want in the US, with a small presence in family events back here when appropriate. (I wouldn't be surprised however if Megan never makes it back on UK soil).

People are interested in the dynamics around Harry’s appearance at the Coronation. That’s it now. He won’t be seen in Britain for a long while I expect , and not at official Royal events.

Harry must have known that Charles would be busy the night before. Why not stay a day later so actually see his Dad?

I don’t think anyone was close enough for them to confide in at the time! We don’t know when Charles resumed having sex with Camilla. We don’t even know that he ever stopped. Neither do we know if Diana had sex with her bodyguard or if she did, when it started.

Exactly. Although I think one of the other protection officers went on the record about it after that bit of The Crown. I guess he could be lying though.

I'm not sure this sort of discussion, with people pointing out that she has probably had to arrange to be papped, and the weirdness of going for 'just like everyone else' leggings accessorised with £200k of jewellery, and wondering why they aren't seen together much now, is what she wants though?

I do feel a bit sorry for her - I'm sure she'll keep trying with a new hairstyle here and a new partnership there, but it feels like mostly the reaction to them now is a shrug or laughter. She is not royal, her acting career is unlikely to take off again, she hasn't made it as an A list philanthropist, her popularity rating keeps falling, she and her husband have been widely ridiculed, she doesn't seem to have other skills, so what interest does she have, other than to people who are fascinated by the downwards slide?

Meanwhile, love them or loathe them (or not really give a shit about them), the RF keep plodding on seemingly unaffected.

If people are talking about you, it doesn't matter is it's positive or negative, it means you are relevant.

It is, but apparently history is being rewritten to sanctify Diana now.

Who was a flawed human being, and who was completely aware of this, acknowledged it, and THAT was why the public responded to her. Because she didn't really try to cover up her mistakes - of which there was many.

In fact I would say that in the last few weeks especially the RF has raised the stakes considerably. When the Queen was crowned she was a young woman and had to go it alone with Phillip. It was a different era - while the coronation was televised it was not as intrusive as now. Charles and Camilla have been massively supported by the Prince and Princess of Wales in public events and there is almost a feeling of look what is to come with them and their family. I almost feel as if C and M are irrelevant - it's something we have to put up with for a while. Yes the media is full of K and W and their children and they have done amazingly well especially over this weekend. There has certainly been some new input by social media advisers. As for the Sussexes, well they just haven't been as important as they thought.

Exactly - there's Pedro Pascal relevance and then there's Kerry Katona relevance. They are not the same.

I agree with you but I don’t feel sorry for her. She made her choices.
