I thought yesterday couldn't have gone better, all things considered; there was the least amount of drama or negative coverage possible regarding the Sussexes.

I'd like to hope that this marks a fresh start. Harry's got all the recriminations off his chest. The Royal Family have maintained a dignified silence and hopefully the future is rosy. The Sussexes can have the life they want in the US, with a small presence in family events back here when appropriate. (I wouldn't be surprised however if Megan never makes it back on UK soil).

This thread and others are littered with posters defining racism. Some have indicated they are white. Who are they to tell anyone what to think or how to feel?
While Harry has been castigated it seems to me most of the real nastiness is directed towards Meghan. Why would so much anger be directed towards her? She left the country, is living her life thousands of miles away and yet some cannot hide their anger. Some of the language used against her if put together, even in the past few weeks, makes for very uncomfortable reading. Why is that?

What I responded to was a white woman ( polka ) saying a woman of colour is responsible for undoing work done against racism. That means if there is more racism, she is responsible for it. Why would you laugh at that. Seriously.

If this is in reply to my post then I would like to know why you assumed I was white? Wait - that's not racist, is it?

Was she? I thought that the rule (letters patent) would have to be changed when the Queen was still alive because the instant Charles became king then the existing letters would be enacted. As was indeed the case. And the fact the security is linked to titles was completely made up.

As far as I’m concerned none of us will ever know the whole story of what went on. I’m not inclined to blindly believe anyone. I am not a fan of hazy recollections or muddling of stories from anyone either.

There is no corner. You are now badgering someone after being racist about them. I based it on what you wrote to me after I referred to the white poster. What you do if that’s wrong is correct me. You don’t use race like you are doing to goad. Especially after you made a racist statement.

Would be helpful if people didn't say things like 'Meghan has defeated the progress made against racism'. Because you know, that's a fucking ridiculous thing to say and clearly blames people of colour for actual racism.

Could've just said 'Oh us being racist is your fault and Meghan has ruined all of our hard work in being more tolerant'.

I am still not 100% sure whether to be mad with Meghan for alleging racism which according to Harry didn't happen, or mad with Harry for denying racism which according to Meghan did happen. It's a muddle.

Surely unconscious bias against people of colour is racism?
