Harry may be in trouble with his Visa application!

polkadotdalmation · 03/05/2023 10:48

So the American Heritage foundation has put in an appeal for their freedom of information application, to see Harry's original visa application, which has incidentally 'got lost'!

They feel that Harry has negated his right to privacy regarding this document because he has already put his drug use into the public domain.

The questions on the visa applications are about drug use or using substances you know to be prohibited, in your past or currently when the application was made.

Nothing to do with the fact cannabis is not prohibited in California currently and his current drug use.

Case I believe, is being brought against the department of homeland security, and the basis for the Heritage foundation is were equality laws followed or was Harry given preferential treatment because of his title. Interesting. Maybe Harry learns to keep his private drug use, private.

Ooo maybe this is a cunning ploy for him not to be allowed to return to the US when in fact he wants to separate from Meghan

HappiDaze · 05/05/2023 06:44

and stay in the UK

skullbabe · 05/05/2023 06:45

He has exploded his own right to privacy where his drug taking is concerned by talking about it extensively. Therefore what privacy when he's already breached his own?

The HF are petitioning the court for access to records that are not and have never been made public. The drug taking is part of public record - the visa application and/or his DHS interview are government records which are not subject to information requests. This has implications beyond Harry and if successful then no one can expect their applications and/or interviews to be private - which is absolutely fine if the ruling goes in the HF’s favour but has wider implications for immigration in the US.

Gosh I’m not a greast fan of either of them but I really wish people wouldn’t say this. They seem perfectly happy together & appear to love each other very much. As well as having two gorgeous children.

Amazing that he can manipulate the US Department of Home Security for his own ends, isn't it...
What power that man has.

Strange he's rushing back to his little family right after the Coronation, must be all part of the ploy ?

I see @Morestrangerthingshas beat me to it - there is a link on Wikipedia listing all of her non famous friends who attended her wedding. On the move so no real time to get last names for you but two of her longtime friends Lindsay and Genvieve were at Archie’s christening and although not named - one of them will be the mystery 3rd godparent.

Thank you for that. I don't know who writes Wikipedia, but, I'm O.K. with believing she has long-standing friends. Though she seems to have got rid of Harrys - not that I blame her for that, they seem horrible. (Will I now be castigated for dissing H's friends?)

I'll get m'coat.....

I've heard this sexist trope a lot. Even in my family I've heard that my brother doesn't see his old mates anymore and its because my sil scared them off. Its the man's responsibilty to keep in touch with his own friends and family, sadly not all of them make the effort. Some women will take on the secretarial role but not all of us want to.

KrasiTime · 05/05/2023 07:28

My dh arranges his night out with his friends, I rarely go to their meet-ups unless a it’s for a birthday or party. They are his friends not mine, so it’s not my responsibility to keep up those friendships.

The fall back to any nasty comment including racist and sexist etc. I was only joking.

polkadotdalmation · 05/05/2023 08:10

@skullbabe So maybe it in the public interest to start disclosing previously secret documents? Maybe it's time the people who actually vote get to see where governmental favouritism and corruption is occurring? It's the reason we have FOI acts in both countries.

I think he and people like him, wealthy/privileged are able to manipulate government departments. Only a fool would think otherwise. Think Epstein spending a few hours a day in a 'cell' then being allowed out, despite a conviction for a sexual assault.

@PollyPeptide I agree with you, Charles was way ahead of the curve with his passion and care for environmental issues, and I think his family problems have overshadowed his caring nature, but as this thread is specifically about a serious matter of possible governmental corruption, I think it's fair to discuss it.

I'm sure nothing will come of it and the file will stay 'lost' but if this gives the arrogant Harry's head a wobble and a 'welcome to the real world' moment, where the peasants have to obey the law, it's been worth it. He's happy to dish dirt on others, so what goes around comes around.

Charles has a massive global footprint. He uses private jets. He hogs huge amounts of land.

He is above the law. If we want to stop corruption, then he needs to be subject to law as are all his citizens.

Meghan has many friends that she has since college - they were present at her wedding and continue to be her friends now. There are some who are god parents to her children, some who are involved in Archewell and some who are just her friends.

And I said no one on the thread knew her personally! Sorry you obviously do.

And you know her children's god-parents, her many friends? Tell me, which friends were at at her wedding and are still her friends now? Which school friends?

It is very noticeable that they are all wealthier, better socially connected and white and they have been key to her social climbing. I have to say is unusual for somebody from melting pot LA to distance themselves from their roots to that extent and which is why her stance on racism doesn't seem heartfelt, just self-serving.
The only WOC whom she appears to have befriended are those with higher celebrity status than herself.

Roussette · 05/05/2023 08:31

How do you know she doesn't have black friends that want to keep out of the public eye?

Do you think a woman of colour has to have friends who are other people of colour just to prove to people like you they're not social climbers? Can't they choose friends that they click with?

You can always see who has edited a topic and on - I believe - the talk tab. You see what challenges have occurred to information added and changes. Wikipedia need articles about living people to be referenced and verified and will remove information if not substantiated.

No - you shouldn’t be castigated for dissing Harry’s friends. The ones who seemed to want him to remain unhealthy weren’t really good friends to him.

I doubt that anybody wants to retain him in the UK after he has given us a piece of the real Harry. I would have thought they would be encouraging him to stay there. He has cut ties with most of his good friends and his close family.

Anyway, he's fine, his immigration status is secure. I just feel excruciatingly embarrassed for him that he circulated these drug stories to seem like a wildchild creative when he is just a low achieving toff with no talent to show. You get those writers, artists and musicians who admit to using drugs to elevate their creative genius to crazy heights and I'd say that was what he was angling for but no sign of it here.

It's not likely that all the non-celebrity black female friends would want to stay out of the spotlight. Basically, there aren't any.

I took it as a joke from the original post. There seems to be a few posters with a serious sense of humour failure on some of these threads. Maybe if people say they were joking you might believe them. Their jokes may not be to your taste, or even in good taste but that doesn’t mean that the poster was meaning them to be taken seriously 🙄

How on earth do you know this?

I am continually perplexed on these threads when posters claim to know exactly about Meghan's thoughts, her personal life, her relationships, who she speaks to, who she doesn't. And now you are claiming she doesn't have any black friends who aren't famous. Or if she did have any, they would be desperate to be at the wedding.

Do you know that she wrote about racism that her mother especially experienced before she met Harry? Have you read about her experiences with race well before she met Harry? She commented on them. It is really odd to negate her current experiences because of her navigating the world as an ambiguous person and then being very much confronted by being othered in a very specific way when she moved from a familiar environment and call them insincere and self serving. I’m actually disgusted by your comment but am taking the time to respond for the other people who might be lurking.

And she purposely chose her friends when she pledged in University at age 18 as a way to socially climb.
