Harry may be in trouble with his Visa application!

polkadotdalmation · 03/05/2023 10:48

So the American Heritage foundation has put in an appeal for their freedom of information application, to see Harry's original visa application, which has incidentally 'got lost'!

They feel that Harry has negated his right to privacy regarding this document because he has already put his drug use into the public domain.

The questions on the visa applications are about drug use or using substances you know to be prohibited, in your past or currently when the application was made.

Nothing to do with the fact cannabis is not prohibited in California currently and his current drug use.

Case I believe, is being brought against the department of homeland security, and the basis for the Heritage foundation is were equality laws followed or was Harry given preferential treatment because of his title. Interesting. Maybe Harry learns to keep his private drug use, private.

@polkadotdalmation Or maybe the DHS don't want to comply with some HF hate group "claiming" that they have a "right" to see Harry's file? Suing them even, for the privilege?

Do you not agree that if Harry's file is made public then EVERYONE'S file should be too? After all, why only one person? A private citizen too? Why Harry? Because he "whined" in a book?

Many, many people have done drugs in and out of America and I'm sure they all don't want their files made public too, thanks to this hateful group. They won't be thanking the HF, that's for sure.

And don't you think that this a rather stupidly onerous request to put on to the DHS and it would probably require some sort of change of US policy or legislation for this to even happen, with all the resultant months/years of hassle that will cause? I don't blame them for not wanting to comply, they're a govt office, I'm sure they have enough work on their plate!

It's all so dumb and "unserious" as the young 'uns say... It's just pure vindictiveness.

@michaelmacrae But its not about other people. Its about Harry.

Are you saying that he should use his royal privilege and his white privilege to circumvent scrutiny by the american public?

OP posts:
polkadotdalmation · 04/05/2023 20:38

He should be above the law then?

What public behaviour have you witnessed that makes you think she probably doesn't love her husband and is self absorbed

To indicate she doesn't love him - she targeted him from the get-go for who he was. Probably thought he was richer than he was because of his family. He's shown himself to be stupid, whiny, self-pitying. Utterly out of his depth!

Her self-absorption! Surely blindingly obvious? Look at her life story, "friendships" etc.
If you can't, or don't want to see it, I can't help you any more

That's YOUR take on her. Very unpleasant.

No love involved. She targeted him. Hmm

Do you know her? How do you know she is self absorbed, it's just what the DM and Express has fed you with the likes of 46 hate articles in one 24 hour period.
Sad.

michaelmacrae · 04/05/2023 20:47

@polkadotdalmation I'm saying this scrutiny is vindictive, on only one person. What about all the other famous, rich, white people who are known to have taken drugs openly, brag about it even, like British rock stars, who come and go from the UK to US all the time? No one has ever asked what have they put on their visa applications. I bet it's never ever crossed anyone's minds!

And btw, it's not "deflecting" to ask this question.

Only Harry. Why? Because he married a black woman, dared to leave the royal family, and broke open the invisible contract. That's why.

ArcaneWireless · 04/05/2023 20:53

In my opinion the questions being asked are nothing to do with his marriage or Meghan and everything to do with what he said about his experiences with various substances. 🤷🏻‍♀️

michaelmacrae · 04/05/2023 20:54

The rock stars above the law too then, why is that allowed then?

So do you think Charles is self absorbed as he married a woman he didn't love and if he wasn't Royalty and it had been modern times, his behaviour towards Diana would have been considered emotionally abusive. he cheated on Camilla with another mistress Kanga. He complained about his parents being cold and distant. He throws strops about pens. He is distributions but respecting the public many of whom are struggling. His friends are sex offenders and sycophants. He is hiding behind laws that stop public protests in the day of the coronation. He lied to his sons as he said he would never marry Camilla. He told the public that Camilla would be known as Queen Consort

polkadotdalmation · 04/05/2023 21:00

@michaelmacrae So you are saying Harry is above the law due to his royal privilege and white privilege. Its not a question, this time, its a statement based on your responses.

It you look further up (at tommika's post) there are instances of well known people being denied entry. John Lennon had to fight to gain entrance and citizenzhip. So its not vindictive. Its not just aimed at Harry.

I didn't accuse you of deflecting, However your lost statement, has absolutely nothing to do with the thread, and is clear deflecting, therefore it does not get a response from me.

I think thats the reason that American Heritage decided to get involved. They're very right wing, pro gun, anti critical race theory being in taught in schools so the man who married who married a woman of colour will come under more scrutiny.

PollyPeptide · 04/05/2023 21:04

I hear London is looking really fine and the partying is already starting. The king got crowned this afternoon by the chief of the rainforest tribes in thanks and recognition for all he's done regarding the preservation of their environment.

Isn't that lovely?

I know. That's what it's really all about.

ArcaneWireless · 04/05/2023 21:07

michael

I didn’t say it should be allowed.

But the memoir was pretty much world news and not everyone pays attention to rock stars or other famous people in the same way.

I really don’t think this latest story is because of Meghan.

And nor should he be some sort of special under the microscope case while others walk away whistling.

Sometimes very public admissions or revelations can have an effect that wasn’t expected or wanted. That’s all.

Most Londoners would toast anything for a pint or ten and an extra long weekend to recover. I do not specifically equate that to support for the coronation.

michaelmacrae · 04/05/2023 21:18

@polkadotdalmation No. I'm saying he is being singled out unfairly. What about my question: if harry's file is made public then shouldn't ALL files be made public too? After all he's a private citizen? And all citizens should be treated the same, right...?

@skullbabe You've summed it up very accurately. I don't believe however that he will be asked to leave, it will be a slap on the wrist if anything at all.

The latest from BBB is looking through the documentation, the DHS have sent out two template letters saying basically nothing, but denying the request. They also say the file has gone missing. They say the name may be wrong. They say there is not enough detail in the request, despite there being tons of detail.

Basically covering Harry's arse, just like the RF did and allowing him to take no responsibility.

I understand people don't like the royal family, fair enough, and accuse them of using their wealth, privilege and so on to avoid taxes, as well as covering up other things.

So here we have Harry, doing precisely what his family are accused off, using wealth, privilege etc to evade scrutiny and behave illegally, yet he is being protected by the american DHS (aka covered up) but the usual suspects on here who can't wait to point the finger at the RF (which they have every right to do), are vigourously defending Harry, for doing just what the RF do.

I accuse Harry of hypocrisy, but he's clearly not alone, as the stance here literally, makes no sense.

DHS under current rules cannot release immigration information to the public. They are also correct to procedurally state that the information request is under the wrong name - this is to prevent records for Michael F Smith being released instead of a Michael B Smith. Regardless of what the HF say there is no precedent for DHS to release this kind of information for living people therefore no matter the amount of information provided in the FOIA request they cannot release it. The HF need to petition for greater oversight of DHS discretionary decisions to achieve the outcome that they want.
