You are rather on your own with that view. Most posters on here whether for or against Meghan, think it is very much the right decision for all sorts of reasons

Family members are only supposed to bow to the monarch and consort. I don't think I ever saw William, Kate, Harry or Meghan bow to Charles and Camilla when they were Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall

I think it is a pity they both did not come with a nanny to mind the children and then let the children be seen with their grandfather at some point so they could always say in later life we were there in the UK on the day of the Coronation. However at least Harry is going which is nice for his father to have both sons present.

That’s technically how it works but in practice they don’t curtesy to each other among the family apart from to the monarch.

The only person I’ve seen in the family do anything like that is Edo, Beatrice’s husband - he sometimes gives both William and Kate a sweet and smart little neck bow. His Italian aristocratic roots showing through.

I honestly believe it would not have been expected because it isn’t expected. Harry and Meghan still hold their HRHs - they are in exactly the same position in the order of precedence they were before they left and Meghan didn’t have to curtesy to Kate then because the family don’t curtesy you each other apart from to the monarch.

W and K were announced PPOW days before the Queen was buried. Kate and Meghan were face to face quite a lot, in public, at the walkout, at the funeral itself, at the service before that.

There was no curtseying then, in any of these face to face moments. No one else curtseyed either W or K either.

And even if the government took all their titles away they still wouldn’t be expected to bow and curtesy - again - have you ever seen Zara and Mike Tindall curtesy to any of the HRHs?

isn't Meghan a princess too? I know she uses duchess, but as Harry is a prince doesn't that make her princess Henry? like Kate would have been Princess william?

Technically yes but Kate is princess of wales while Megan is a princess purely because of Harry so princess Henry! Duchess of Sussex is her main title.

Again technically everyone below William and Kate in the order of precedence should curtesy to them. Apart from blood royals with HRHs who only have to curtesy to Kate when she’s with William. Without William she technically has to curtsey to them.

In practice they don’t.

Which is why Zara with no title but as much royal blood as Beatrice, Eugenie etc does not curtesy to her cousins. And did not curtsey to Charles before he became King.

There is a picture out there of Zara curtsying to Charles or Camilla at one point and she looks like she's about to lay a ginormous egg. Or has been caught short

Princess Anne does the deepest curtesies I’ve ever seen - I worry she’s not going to make it up again one of these days.
