Jesus wept - I'm not going to read the article but honestly. I can't imagine Kate gets to overrule Charles on such matters. The press are doing their best to make this a huge drama...whereas the family seems to have come up with a compromise to reduce drama.

Honestly the RR's and such like have gone down to rock bottom in my estimation. They are happy to take the dosh and comment on the Oprah interview that they hadn't even seen, criticising Meghan and Harry. A spoof that illustrated to me how unpleasant they are. Wonderful they got caught out talking about how Meghan was sponsoring a donkey sanctuary. Arses.

@Roussette yes it’s awful. I find it laughable people question Harry talking about how this works, the dirty game. It’s so flipping obvious and the reporters themselves say they’re relying on tips and leaks from inside the institution. Kate unfortunately will get a whole lot more in the next month or so.

I was just waiting for someone to post that. Why should we believe that hook, line and sinker? And "Because it makes Kate look bad and highlights Meghan as a victim," is not a valid reason to just blindly believe it is true.

I posted it as an example of the kind of coverage from "experts", and to show how utterly nuts Tom Bower is. Not because I believe it!

Wonder if that story about Kate saying the walkabout with Meghan was the worst thing - was to distract from Camilla as well. That story came from nowhere.

I wonder too. I find it totally crass to have this sort of article out there when it is a sombre occasion, a walkabout following a funeral.
I have no idea where the story came from, so can only blame the media, but the depths they sink to is despicable.
There can't even be one day of mourning without this toxicity.

I just hope, against hope, that it is a made up DFail story because if it was briefed, I have no words except to say the RF have a very serious problem.

Another poster who refuses to engage with the facts which show all of the royals do this. Charles has done books and interviews and quite clearly, stories in the press are based on what they’re being told. Harry is just putting his name to his truths.

I have to agree, certainly from links that have been posted just recently on here, that certain papers and commentators seem to have lost the plot and gone a bit nuts on this. They need to watch their blood pressures otherwise they won't even make it to the coronation!

Personally I find the decision to be a sensible compromise for all concerned.

Gosh, some posters are hugely emotionally invested in harry and Meghan. Most posters are having an abstract discussion, but a couple are lashing out, arguing and attacking like it’s their first born being discussed.
