No surprise he's coming on his own to the coronation.

Were you hoping for a personal catch up with Meghan that weekend?

custardbear · 12/04/2023 15:32

Personally pleased, can't stand H&M but H should be at his dads coronation ... albeit he should be thoroughly ashamed to show his faces. M however should stay away, she's caused so much damage and distress I'm sure many people wouldn't want her there.
I'm sure they would also be boo'd too which wouldn't be very nice for anyone and I suspect wouldn't want that seen across the world as it wouldn't look good!

clarepetal · 12/04/2023 15:34

I'm so glad he's coming. It's a shame Meghan and their kids won't be there.

What trouble has she caused? Harry's book has caused more issues than anything Meghan has done yet she still gets the blame for everything.

Cherchez la femme....

Hellocatshome · 12/04/2023 15:38

As much as Harry has done and said some things which I think he shouldn't have done, I do feel sorry for him as he is between a rock and hard place most of the time these days.

Hazelnuttella · 12/04/2023 15:39

Of course they wouldn’t be booed.

Meghan is probably not coming so she isn’t accused of stealing the limelight.

Although I’m sure there will be plenty of press coverage about her staying quietly at home, and accusing her of taking attention away from the coronation by not attending 🙃

feellikeanalien · 12/04/2023 15:40

Well at least that means he can fly in and out and there won't be endless speculation about who is going to be on the balcony. If I was Meghan I wouldn't want to fly all that way with two small children just to spend time with people who quite clearly don't want me to be there. Equally, I imagine many of the RF will also be breathing a sigh of relief.

I think it seems the best solution for everyone.

kirinm · 12/04/2023 15:41

I think Meghan not being there makes me think less of the royal family tbh.

Kittykatchunjy · 12/04/2023 15:41

Agree, best outcome under the circs

Meghan isn't an English Rose and how dare she have/want a mind/life of her own. That's the issues most of these people have with her.

Words · 12/04/2023 15:42

The cognitive dissonance of either of them appearing is bad for their brand. They do need further material of course, so it makes sense in that way. I imagine thé judgment was finely balanced.

The conflict with one of their children's birthdays gives them the perfect face saving get out.

Best solution I think.

diflasu · 12/04/2023 15:43

I think it was always the most likely to occur situation.

One parent home with child on their birthday - other at his Dad's coronation.

Completely agree. I think it's terrible she won't be there. But I honestly don't blame her and think she's doing the right thing for herself and the kids. They can choose when they are older whether they want to part of the circus or not.

I assume that’s why it took so long for an announcement.

Tarantullah · 12/04/2023 15:46

It's a shame the children are missing out on attending their grandfather's coronation, probably would have been nice for Harry to have Meghan by his side, but is anyone really genuinely hand on heart arsed beyond posting about it on here?

purpledalmation · 12/04/2023 15:46

Hopefully it's the last time he sets foot in the country for a few years. Just enjoy your life overseas and leave us in peace.

Aren't you the person constantly posting on threads about people you are apparently sick of hearing about?

Cam22 · 12/04/2023 15:47

Shes an appalling person so very pleased she won’t be there trying to seek attention.

What harm has he done you that you want to be left in peace?

😂😂😂 oh the dramatics! How does he affect your ‘peace’?! Bizarre. He’ll be back anyway, court cases 😬😉

kirinm · 12/04/2023 15:48

It's on threads like this where the majority of people are writing reasoned posts that the H&M haters appear most un-hinged and spiteful.

Why? She was invited, her decision to go or not, so why think less of the royal family?
